I thought the J.Lindeberg branding would bother me, but in hand I don't mind.  I will definitely give this a go for a while.  I won't be surprised if I end up getting a custom from Mackenzie lol.

I had the same positive experience with Alec from Mackenzie, I've been emailing him with hundreds of questions about their bag and he has always been very patient answering all my questions and taking photos to show me. At the end i didn't end up buying directly from them but he was still very thrilled for me (but i did buy the trestle stick from Mac directly). 
 

Overall very execellent experience with Mackenzie.

@Binson   A couple reasons. 7” was a little too snug for me, going with 8” now. I went with a lighter color this time. The black bag got really hot in the summer.

the white part has held up suprisingly well, although i have only been using it for little over a month, i thought playing in morning mist condition it would get some water marks but nothing can't be easily wipe off, still looks pretty good as new.

Couldn't agree more with this. I saw "the bag" I wanted on Instagram, and given their attention to detail they were able to lookup the specs of the exact bag and make it for me (change of initials of course!).

I’ve had a couple people say the 7”

doesn’t easily fit 14 clubs. What are your thoughts?

I fit all 14 perfectly. They’re snug and don’t clink together as much as my 8”. Seems to hold them in place a little better. My putter also has a square superstroke grip so a little bigger. Driver, 3w, 4i, and putter on top, rest on the bottom. I prefer it for 14 clubs.

i carry full 14 clubs with no issue at all and even the trestle sticks, you might have some issue depends if you have all mid size grips with superstroke on putter, but i got golf pride throughout with no issue at all, as matter of fact i get less tangle now than when i had more dividers in the past.

I just put my order in and it was $50 for the logo to be digitized. They will want to see it first to validate if it will read well when embroidered. They have been an absolute pleasure to work with, responsive and helpful the whole way.

Waxed canvas Mackenzie w/green leather recently given to me by the most gracious member of our club.  Headcovers top this bag off nicely.  Nothing ages like a fine Mackenzie bag.  Just gets better and better.  Two photos in different light.   You can see there is a little cart bag rub at the top.  Does anyone have the scoop on how to clean that?  I don't mind having to add a little wax post clean.  CHEERS

I've seen it done. It has a spine that is helpful in preventing it from sagging but it's best to use a towel or something to prevent from cart strap rash. 

 

Can it be done? Sure. Is it the best bag for the job? Probably not.

This! Place a towel between the black cart strap and the waxed canvas and you should be fine.

You can clearly see from mine that it's not a great idea unless something is protecting it.  Mine was given to me, so it was already like that.  I may reach out to Mackenzie for some tips to restore.

I actually like the way these look as they get worn and beat up a little bit. A lot like my Filson laptop bag that has at least a quarter million air miles on it — the worse I treat it the better it looks.

Scored this for a song locally with matching head covers and leather rain cover. Going to condition it up and continue to use it. The previous caretaker was too scared to take it out.

They’re also Mackenzie as far as I can tell. Same leather coloration and aging, but no tag. Confirmed with the folks at Mackenzie that it’s a late 80s bag most likely. How long have you had yours?

I purchased mine early March of 2020. Leather 8 inch top, two big pockets each side with a rain hood. $5. Almost had a mild heart attack. I sent in to Mackenzie and he fixed it up for free. I just covered the shipping.
