Thought I would share this find for those looking for a place to store and display your mac at home.  Ikea sells a metal storage locker called, Ivar, that stores the bag perfectly and has some additional shelving:  https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/ivar-cabinet-with-door-gray-mesh-60483972/

been playing with the customizer for a few weeks now.  seems like leather is the OG but waxed canvas sounds very practical.  how does the leather hold up to light moisture?

Leather does just fine in morning dew, rain, etc. 

 

If the leather gets soaked, MacKenzie recommends emptying it and letting it dry out for a day or two.

 

Don't store a wet leather golf bag in your trunk.

Nothing, I repeat nothing has the class and panache of a MacKenzie--It is the AstonMartin or Bentley of the golf bag world.  I have two--one in blue and vanilla leather custom logoed with my club crest, and another for wet weather in corder.  No other strap is as comfortable.  Never fail to get a comment from other golfers at the range or the cart/bag drop staff.  (pictured with a couple of other faves)

I got one lol.  Wanted to try a Mackenzie bag and found this one on final sale through J. Lindeberg.  found a small discount code and figured why not give it a shot.

 

I emailed Mackenzie for additional info on the bag and Alec was very responsive and helpful.  I will say that I thought the nylon would be thicker (I have backpacks and bags made out of ballistic nylon, but come to think about it my bags have a thicker lining to it), but the overall quality is solid.

 

I thought the J.Lindeberg branding would bother me, but in hand I don't mind.  I will definitely give this a go for a while.  I won't be surprised if I end up getting a custom from Mackenzie lol.

 

If anyone is interested, these are still in stock in addition to an all-leather mack for about 3x the price.

Been researching and wanting a Mac for a long time but just couldn't fork out (to me) an arm and a leg for it. I've had all kinds of top rated carry bag you can think of from Ping Hoofer, Vessel LX, Ping Moonlite, to Jones Players but every one of them had something i didn't like. 

As I was just on anthoer "window shopping" on the web, came stumble upon Donald Ross website, they happen to be having a sale going on, after discount code, i was able to get this MacKenzie Canvas bag on a huge steal ! 

The bag did not disappoint at all, it is everything i wanted in a bag, lighter than i thought, has a carbon fiber spine doesn't sack like moonlite, even though it has  1 divider the clubs just do not get stuck very easy to access the clubs in and out. Like everyone had commented, the bag just look and feel premium, from touching it, carrying over the shoulder, grabbing it by the holder all speaks premium. this is a 7 inch bag i think its perfect even when i have 14 clubs in there, the clubs just don't tangle, one pocket fits everything i need and more. 

 

I had the same positive experience with Alec from Mackenzie, I've been emailing him with hundreds of questions about their bag and he has always been very patient answering all my questions and taking photos to show me. At the end i didn't end up buying directly from them but he was still very thrilled for me (but i did buy the trestle stick from Mac directly). 
 

Overall very execellent experience with Mackenzie.
