I had a horrendous round today of 97. 49 on the front 48 on the back. My short game is killing me. Between leaving wedge shots short into the green and then 3 putting all the time...it's not pretty.

i shoot between 80 and 90, but im really just starting out with competitive golf. My putting kills me, ive never really counted, but if i had to guess, i would be looking at probably 36+ putts

tonite shot 34 (-1) the course had really mad winds and for the 4 holes against wind i shot 1 over and the 5 with wind i shot 2 under.

Incredible start but the wheels fell off the rest of the front 9. Pulled it together for most of the back, which is significantly harder than the front. I've never broken 40 on the back, so that finish was especially painful (compared to the front where even on an ok day I can still pull out a 37 or 38)

I really could not control my putting today.

 

2 doubles, 1 bird. I was still medalist since the course played pretty hard.

im off 19, and my last 5 rounds have been 86,84,83,82,80. in the 80 i had 7 bogeys,4 birdies goin down the last 2 i went double, triple :friends: i was gutted, still got the most birdies ive had all time ever and only been playing for 1 year and a half.

Shot a 72 in the last round of the conference championship last week. I went 33-39. 19 putts on the back nine. If I could putt I would be golden. Averaged a 77 for 15 competitive rounds in the spring with 34.23 putts per round. Putting is just killing me.

played my first 2 18 hole rounds this weekend for interclub tryouts

fired an inconsistent 81, followed by a slightly less inconsistent 80

not my best, but im okay with it as a warm up

shot 79 today and 78 yesterday (+7/+6). only one double in those 36 holes. i pretty much played one bogey to every 2 pars. had that double with the 78, and a few birdies as well.

Shot an 81 yesterday, there were two groups ahead of me playing a scramble (I was a single) and I finally skipped over them at the turn and then went back and played #9 again.

Shot a weird 80 today. 42/38. Missed a lot of birdie putts, especially on the front. But I started picking it up on the back, putting with one hand. Parred out after #12, and hit every par 3 in regulation for the round. A very VERY VERY VERY crappy 35 putts.

shot 39 in 25 mph winds, so i was pretty happy about that. I hit 5/8 GIR and 2/7 fairways. It may not have been pretty, but I got the job done.

I had the Callaway Junior Worlds qualifier yesterday in Orange, Connecticut. They took the top two spots, and I ended up shooting a 76 to come in 4th with an extremely strong feild. The course was very tricky, and the greens had just been punched earlier in the week. I hit 14 greens and had 36 putts (4 - 3-putts & 4 - 1-putts). It was a very frustrating round overall, because I was playing extremely solid golf but because of the greens I couldn't make ANYthing go in. The 4 birdies I made were all approach shots that ended up within 5 feet of the hole. I was talking to one of the starters after my round and he congratulated me on scoring what I did in the conditions, because he said he saw Lee Trevino shoot a 69 in perfect conditions which was actually the course record until 2000 when someone pro shot a 68.

 

Orange Hills CC has a very strange policy as far as spectators go (they don't allow any on the course), and the 7th green which every parent/spectator was watching, I hit my 8 iron approach to 6-inches which was pretty cool. Congrats to Taylor Fontaine and Patrick Wasserman for firing amazing rounds in the conditions that we were playing in...I just need to get my putting numbers down to around 29-30 (where they should be) so I can make some things happen in some of my tournaments coming up.

Played from the Blues, 6691 yards, 72.0/127. 14 mph winds

 

33 Putts (15/18)...i had a few weird putts on the back...not too happy

 

Driving was pretty good, had 4 or 5 over 300 yards.

 

The highlight was hitting all the hard par 3s in reg

 

#6- 215 yards 4 iron, crosswind, 13 feet

#13-179 yards 6 iron, dead into the wind, 20 feet

#16- 204 yards 5 iron, crosswind, 9 feet

 

the worst part? missed all those putts :-(

Played 36 today and shot 41-36 for a decent 77 and then 39-34 for a great 73. The 34 is my best 9 hole score for me at my home course. I missed several putts inside 20 feet but eagled the hardest hole on the course. It could have easily tied the nine hole course record of 32. I was pretty pleased though considering i haven't played since last friday.

Shot the worst 84 of my life yesterday. It felt so horrible.

 

Front 9 shot 3 over 39 with 4/7 FWs, 6/9 GIR, and 18 putts! Putting left me for this nine.

 

Back 9 shot a 10 over 45 with 3/6 FWs, 2/9 GIR, and 20 putts! On this nine, the driver and irons decided to go on vacation, and putting sent me a postcard telling me that he wasn't going to be back today.

 

So weird how my ball striking was fine on the front, but just died on the back. Putting was to blame however, 38 putts after I had 28 last week. I have no idea what hit me, so I got home and took a nap.

I played 36 holes yesturday. First 18- 38-38-76. Second 18 41-36-77. It's nice to have a glimpse of vacation! I can smell summer, it's just 2 more weeks!

Shot a -1, 65 at my home course yesterday...the first tee of chesterfield. Par is 66 and the rating is like 62 from the back so I really shot like +3. It's only a short course b/c there are 9 Par 3's.

Had a club pennants match today, for some reason I was played at 5, anyway, 3 putterd the first 2 holes for bogey, and played 5 under for the next 9 holes, to win 9&7 on hole 11. I think i'll be getting a promotion next week. LOL.

Recently something has just clicked, and i've played to my ability for once. So two weeks ago I was off 7 (UK System) and in my last four competitions i have shot 78, 77, 69, 74 and have been cut to 4.9. So i'm really happy and it was the first time i've ever been under par.
