It's hard to pick a single favorite, but I love Nike RZN Black, RZN Platinum, (current) ProV1x, Callaway Hex Chrome, Srixon Z-Star, and 2013 Nike 20xi-X.

If I had to pick one for the rest of my life it would be between my current gamers: the Nike RZN Black and RZN Platinum. Two GREAT golf balls.

There was a Titleist ball that came in a blue box about 15 years ago that was not their tour ball but a step above the DT. It was around a few years and I shot my best scores with this ball but I cannot remember the name of it or find a picture of the box on the web.

When Nike first came out with the TW tour ball, that thing was money. Super long. But you have to give the nod to the ProV1x golf ball. It has consistently proven to be the most played, most winning, golf ball in all of golf.

My favorites were the ones that I "found" in my father's bag. But, if I had to buy my own, it was the Jack Nicklaus balls at the Firestone Tire store in Houston: 3 for $1.33. If I splurged you could get the Club Special for cheap at Memorial Park. I think the best Titleist ball was a buck. 1964 was a great year.

I bet you're thinking of the Tour Prestige. A step down from the Tour Professional.

I played my best golf with a Titleist 90 compression balata ball. In the olden times of the 1970's.

But the balls today, from just about every manufacturer, are far superior to that technology. Current choice is Nike's RZN Black.

Since I've only been golfing for a few years (3-4 or so) I'm going to have to go with the Bridgestone B330-RXS. My short game is my strong suit and this ball does everything I want it to around the green. Nice, soft feel off the wedges that check up nicely and off the putter it is a dream. I don't know what it is, but I make many more putts with this ball than any other. I think it's just the feel off the face of the putter that I have the best distance control with it (and therefore it goes on the lines that I plan instead of hitting it through the break or not enough and it breaks more than I plan).

I always liked the Taylor Made TP Red LDP. Just a great ball all around. Wish I could find a couple dozen of them to try head to head against my current RZN Black gamer ball.

I loved the Titleist Professional. Still have about 4 dozen left out of about 6 at home brand new I have picked up over the years. Still play great. Biggest advantage is around the greens. Can dead stop one with a SW or LW on my home course's firm, fast greens. Can get a little backup on a full iron shot. Off the tee, there is hardly any distance difference between this ball and a Pro V1 for me. Off the iron, it may be a bit shorter but only a couple of yards is all. As I said, the real advantage with it is holding greens and if you miss a green being able to dead stop it.

Hex black and original pentas are my 2 all-time favorite balls. I like the prov1x as well, but they keep tweaking it, so I get confused as to which year was my favorite.
