What every you do don't sell them. I played mine from 1997-2011 when I got my S56's. I love my S56's BUT I would love to take the ISI's for a round evey now and then!

My current collection-
Eye2+ steel
Eye2+ BeCu
ISI BeNi
ISI BeCu

In the bag- ISI BeNi, with titanium shafts. For ME, these are the all-time best. They just feel so nice, and are pretty much indestructible. That being said, I really haven't played any of the newer designs. Wouldn't mind giving the i20's or the Ansers a whirl.

i've had 3 sets
i3+ cs lite w cushion inserts
g10 awt (never got used to the wide sole )
s-57 true temper black gold
i have played the s57 for the past 3 seasons but due to elbow soreness, about 2 months ago i put the i3+ w cushion inserts back in the bag.
never had i2's but the i3+ would get my vote they are a rock solid iron.

I have 3 sets: Becu eye 2 with microtaper, eye 2 + with ZZ lite and I just built a set of I20s with C tapers R+. For nostalgia, the Becu cannot be beat, plus the looks from others when I take them out for their annual playtime. the eye 2+ are for rain, mud days, and when its serious play time, the I20 works well for me. I have a 4 G20 with a DGS300 that I use and its a great matchup for my I20s. I probabaly should stick to one set but cannot do it. Never will.

Why are the ISI still one of the most valued irons from Ping. Was it the stock shaft? I have played with a few scratch golfers who still game the original ones and hit them a mile with accuracy.

I wondered this myself. I know you cant get Beryllium Copper irons anymore due to the process of making them being illegal or toxic or something.

The becu irons I bought went from 3-LW with an extra SW and I got them off kijiji for 350. I check ebay sporatically and I havent seen a lefty set with the extra wedges for less than 450...Its funny how valuable these are (AP1's and newer Pings are cheaper I think?)

I think that in the end, these clubs are good for solid players and will help a beginner due to being big ol shovels. Its got something for everybody. Personally I'm in love with the feel and ball flight.

Brofist. I may never get rid of mine.

I really loved my Eye 2's though, so I could support that idea too.
Heck, I loved my isi's in between too.

Have to go with my Ping Zing 2's for the best Ping Iron of all time. To this day they are pretty forgiving, and long......BUT my NEW love is my PIng K15 Irons!!!! VERY long....and VERY forgiving. Titanium face and wide soles equal....INCREDIBLE accuracy and distance!!!! Ping K15's are Very durable....just like the older Pings too!

I've played Eye 2, S58, and S59. The S59s are by far the best for me. I learned with blades and the S59 is the best
of both worlds. My miss leans toward the toe, and the S59 forgives. Long and feel great too.
I can see why Bubba still plays them. Versatile. I'm a 7 hdcp.

This thread was started before the S56, i20, G20 and either of the Anser series.

I loved the i3+ blades. I think they have been outdone by the S56 and the i20 heads. The newer Anser heads are fantastic too..

We look back 10+ years ago at some great PING irons. I think 10 years from now we will look back at 2012 as having some staples as well.

Funny, I had a set of the ISI K's and almost won my club championship with them back in 2000. Since then I've been playing some forged cavity/blade. Man I hit those things so straight! I'm thinking of going with the I20's for next season. But you never know some thread will come up about old forged Hogans or something and I'll keep playing my Tourstage Z101's. Oh well.
