Just curious where we fit in. What are the annual dues at your club? I am paying $2800.00. Now, what say you brother?

WOW! I'm cheap! $1800 includes cart, range and unlimited golf, no monthly min. Really nice course for the area but only 6600+ yards from the tips. Plays longer with all the uphill shots.

Everyone walks, you have to have a medical condition confirmed by the club's nominated doctor to use a cart.

I don't understand the whole cart thing, I thought half the point of playing golf is enjoying the walk!

My base is $1500 per year for 10 years into the equity (due by age 45) or $15000 up front and a base of $3000 annually billed at $300/mo Feb-Nov in my age bracket (31 and under). Though I just got my May statement $300 + $358 in carts/food/guests . . . mostly guests and scotch though.

$22,000 initiation fee, $525 per month dues and $210 / quarter food minimum. Also, $14 / round cart fees per person. However, so many private clubs are hurting and, therefore, reducing their initiation fee and splitting it, payable up over 3 - 5 years.

About to join a local semi-private track. www.1757golfclub.com here in Northern Virginia. They want 2,000 for the year for a weekday membership, or 182 monthly. I don't play on weekends, because of how busy these courses get around my area (6+ hour rounds, pretty much anywhere). Have to think this is a deal, also get grass tee membership at the range (best range within 50+ miles, and only members are allowed to use it). Am actually planning on going over tomorrow morning and joining and getting in 36 tomorrow. Kinda excited.

For my junior membership, bare minimum cost is $2520/yr. That's $185 dues + $25 food minimum every month. Carts are $20/round so I try to avoid those since they add up really quick.

For some decent municipals I can pay $500 for 3 18 hole courses unlimited green fees and 7 dollar carts. Have been trying to figure where i can squeeze $500 from.

The new place I'm going to be playing in Puerto Rico is only $650 a year and I'm sure the conditions will reflect that, but it's right on the cliff - nothing but palm trees and whales breaching in the water below...

Jr. membership, $500 down and $250 per month dues. No food minimum for the next 2 years, they were $600 per year when they had them. Facility is full private. I do have to pay $15 per round for cart if I ride. I ride summer and walk winter.

I´d be intrested to see some feedback from guys in the UK/Ireland/Scotland what prices they pay for their membership?
Here in Germany i´d have a hard time actually finding a place that charges more than 3000-4000 € / year (with the average more being towards 1.5-2k), even on the top tracks, yet pretty much every club we have isnt structured as an organisation that tries to make profit.

So when i read 9k++/year + expenses - do you guys play on gold plated fairways or what?

Im pretty fortunate in that I had no joining fee to pay having been a member at the club previously.I payed a (very) discounted annual fee this year of just over £250 as they were looking for members and I used to play for them in scratch events etc which they were keen to have me do again.More than happy with that!

36 holes, tennis, pool and club facilities = $249/ month for year round family golf in TX. Use of personal cart is $60 no food minimums which is great since the food is not tht good and takes toooooo loooong to get to the table... Charging an 18% automatic gratuity does not make for good service.
