Mac O'Grady's Swing ... what can we learn?

Yeah now he's old. But even in Senior Tour he didn't win. With that swing of his, that's incredible. Goes to show the winners out there are so freaking awesome in all aspects of the game. One aspect falls below awesomeness and you're cut.

No, his wife is Japanese, so I think he comes here sometimes. I'm only aware of him doing one of his two day sessions once a few years ago. He had a couple of young tour pros as students and he was apparently blowing his drives past them, even in his late 50's. He could have done more earlier in his career, but I'm not aware of that.

He's not known well in Japan. There's that funky language barrier thing . . .

I think Mac is living his life like Mac wants to and always will. Good for him.

If he published long ago he would have been top 5 long ago. Why he didn't publish to protect his knowledge and research (copyright) is beyond me.

hey mark, all I mean is that the camera is diagonal--it's not referring to a swing motion.

.....but, there are a number of "vintage morad" things I'm working on that I'll go into as the swing gets better. They mainly deal with how morad was origianlly taught to me vs what "I think" mac was actually doing in his swing.

The part of your swing 'feels' in the diagonal video was rehearsing tilting to get the left shoulder higher during the downswing. I do everything in my power to not get that feeling but you are rehearsing it. Anything behind that? Thanks in advance.

thanks for the compliment! I'm trying to rehearse early right side bending because i have very little in my downswing and it causes my right shoulder to get too high before and through impact.

Virtuoso, are you actively trying to dorsiflex your right wrist through impact? I ask because of your youtube channel name, and I am currently taking lessons from Lake(Jon Dochety) who learned under Mac. He made some interesting suggestions during our last lesson which definitely go against 'conventional wisdom'.
