I got my i20's thread

On Monday I ordered an i20 3 iron to match my set b/c the 4 & 5 are so easy to hit, an i20 17* hybrid and two Rustique wedges and they were delivered to my shop today.

I'm not seeing the delays that some of you are experiencing.

This is a 50+ year marriage man.

I don't think there will be too many people parting with them.

I do however see a bunch of guys selling sets that they got improperly fit for, which I blame solely on the awful fitting practices of the big box stores. I've seen a couple of sets for sale in the BST in some of the wackiest dot/length settings I've ever seen.....


I'm consistently a club longer and they're much, much, much easier to consistently strike down and through golf shots with. The game is much easier thus far...

Ordered mine yesterday through my gol instructor 4-sw stiff flex awt white dot he said he thinks a 2.5wk turn around i hope it's less since my birthday is coming up and plan on playing for it.

UPDATE: Just talked to PING and got my tracking number. Mine will be here on Wednesday the 14th. Ordered on the 5th. So 9 total days.

I ordered the SW and LW in white dot (using my same KBS shafts) last Thursday and I got them yesterday. I was told earlier this week they'd ship on this coming Monday... seems that was false.

My husband and I both got our i20's yesterday. He got 6-u green dot, +1/2" CFS regular steel. I got 6-u purple dot, -1/2" senior flex graphite. We ordered last Friday and it only took one week to delivery them! I took pics, but I am on y phone and can't upload them from here. We are on the way to the course to play them now!! I haven't been excited about a new set of irons in a long time. I can't wait to play them today.

ordered tuesday, arrived tuesday next week from UK .

4-6 long and easy, but some issue with W high and short (not longer than my MPT 51°). Need to practice.

At a huge golf store yesterday, I was hovering near the Ping aisle and I heard the sales guy tell a customer that -- across the board -- the Ping i20 irons were a [b]full club longer[/b] than anything else.

Those that have the new i20's..... do you find this is true? And if so... why -- the lofts don't appear to be dramatically stronger than today's standard.

They are just as long as my previous TM burner irons, even though the lofts don't really match in the long irons.

I thought the i20 would be harder to hit than my Burner irons. This is not true. I actually made better iron shots today. This may be partly due to my being fit properly. It ws a 1-2 club wind today, so t wasn't a good test of the distance. I seem to hit them the about the same distance as my Burner irons.

Anyone playing i20s with the CFS X shaft?

I hit a bunch of balls on the LM @ golfsmith a couple days ago. The only shafts I was able to hit, CFS S, CFS X and S300. CFS X had the tightest dispersion, however I hit that one the highest. My spin rates were not that crazy--right around 6k, club head speed was mid 80s.

Anyone have thoughts? I really like the look and feel of these clubs, just want to pick the right shaft.

The CFS is very nice. I've hit the stiff and x flex and like both a lot. Well balanced with a very good dispersion.

CFS X soft stepped twice, which is the same as S hard stepped twice but slightly heavier. According to ping both of these match the z-z65 flex. My 7-iron swing speed is 88-90 and it feels perfect.

A little off topic sort of...I won a set of shafts on here and was wondering if there is a way to get a set of i20's built using the shafts? Will a Ping vendor take my order and send the shafts I won to Ping to have the clubs built or is that in bad form?

I have CFX X flex ,finally got out today to give them a spin. I played s300s in my i15s. I like the feel of these better, and they appear to be a little tighter as far as dispersion. These are great clubs love the way they interact with the ground, I'm a sweeper, had no problem with this sole design.

Turned my back for a second and a pack of running dogs led by my own Lab "Pearl Harbored" me from behind...I felt the ankle give and then I was flying through the air....

My very first thought upon landing was golf related, LOL!!

Based on the ER X-ray, it's a small fracture....But I'll be heading to an Orthopedist this week to find out for sure.

No way the i20's are a club longer than anything else. For me they were a club longer than the i15's only because the CFS shaft launches higher with about half the spin of the AWT. Go hit the Adams CB2, those are one of the longest irons I've ever hit.

man these clubs loook amazing.. i am looking to really improve my game and just use older iros (callys x14 steel heads) and these clubs have caught my eye. i truly believe my swing is pretty nice.. i might have to go to golftown to try these guys out...


dropping a grand on these puppies and being convinced my game should improve is the tough part.. love this place
