.. Shame i only think of TM as a high street sports fashion store type of thing now, rack 'em high and sell loads and wait until the next fashion comes along in 5 minutes time.

I like the look of the long irons much better than the RocketBallz long irons.

Also like the look of the approach wedge a lot. Not nearly as loud. Maybe future TM wedges will follow that design to some extent

Id love to see someone change the lofts of the Tour iron to that of a comparable type iron (I.E. AP2), with the same shafts, to see what real distances gains there are once the matter of jacked lofts is taken out of it. Could be quite interesting.

+1 exactly why they should not be called blades. They are more aimed towards the average Joe who needs more forgiveness on that shot and that is why I will not ever in a zillion years play these. I don't need my skulled shots going even further over the green. I will stick with my m510 and c510 combo set.

Cool concept and a great idea, I can't get into them personally but these do look cool. I just don't consider myself to be in the target market, even the Tour version is too much of a GI look for me. I prefer forged and well concealed forgiveness.

(in other words, I like to look like I know what the h3ll I am doing even if sometimes I really don't!)

Nice clubs - but would like more pics of the tour version. The speed slot is a great concept but I would rarely use it in irons - I use hybrids below a 6i, and most iron shots I play are either hybrids or 7-GW. Nice concept for those who frequently use long to mid irons.

A skulled shot is when a ball hits below the grooves on the leading edge and flys forever.

My understanding is the slot expands the sweet spot low on the grooves. A shot low on the grooves flys shorter, so the expanded forgiveness low on the club face improves distance and does NOT effect skulled shots.

If you look at the specs on the Japanese Taylormade website it lists the stock shafts as either the KBS C-Taper 95 or Dynamic gold. I wonder if this will hold true for the shaft selections in the US?

++ for me as well.

I was a real skeptic concerning the ATV wedges until I finally tried them. Now they look beautiful in my bag!! So if these wedges have the same playing characteristics as the ATV's then I would go all the way with the entire set.

My question now is more around the shafts available in the non-Tour version. Not much info on them at this stage. Are they mfg'd by KBS or...?

The tour version have the same lofts as the ap2. So u coul just compare them straight across to see if they r better.
