Leave it to TMAG to do their best to break the definition of blades. I'm not against Game Improvement classes of irons, but bladez?

Too many nooks and crannies, and offsets, and angles, and slots, and cavities. Weight the perimeter for forgiveness and lets go play golf!!

I suppose you call this a blade putter?

golden-bear-bear-claw-blade-putter-2.jpg

The term ' blade' has been misused for many years.

Oh well then by all means.... Bladez for everyone!

While were at it I think TMAG says these are "Forg3d"

why hello there offset.
Offset in the Tour is less than MC
Any idea how much less? MB like offset? Absolutely love my MC's and was hoping it would be an easy transition to the Bladez Tour version when they come out. What's your opinion xerpro?

Ok, so the Tour Set will be offered with KBS Tours (nice) but one has to wonder about actual shaft fitting with these new irons. With the higher LA as quoted, there was no mention of spin. I am Guessing that the spin will be high based on the comments of constant distance control. It's hard to get distance control with low spin correct?

So, thoughts on shaft selections with these....

IMO, pretty good looking iron for the market segment.

The 5i is the same loft as my 4h... I actually am fine with that, gives more flexibility on FWs and wedges.

I'll be interested in hitting these to see how well the slot technology transfers over to irons. It seems to be the same as what Adams has in the V4 hybrids, and I wouldn't care for that same feel in my irons.

TM is bringing the heat in 2012/2013. My guess is that they will leave all of the other oems in the dust once again. I cannot wait to try out these irons! And we have not even gotten to their new driver yet.....
Well, they have outsold every OEM in irons. I'm just going to be curious what the offerings will be in graphite. I'll probably have to have them reshafted anyways.
You could probably go tour in these irons also T. I know you will reshaft as I don't think any stock graphite shaft will be to your liking.
I know you're right about the graphite. I need to take a closer look at the Tour model.

I really like the looks of the tour model on TM's site. Look forward to seeing live pics of those.

Though much is taken much abides;
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

Looks like all of the custom shaft options are on TM's site already... as I suspected, the standard are a .370 hosel size, which makes my dream set up of 3-6 Standard and 7-PW Tour with C-Tapers impossible. Bummer. But I'm flirting with the idea of a graphite shafted 3-5 with the rest in C-Tapers. Who knows. The sky is the limit. I'm pumped for these and that haters can hate all they like... TM builds great product however you feel about their brand, and markets it better than the other guys...

Well that's an anti climax. I was kind of hoping for a new Tp players line or R driver. To me these just look a bit cheap.

Every club nowadays looks like a Callaway iron...

To call these "Blade" is absurd and no "Tour" model 42° 9i is still an 8iron.

Not hate. It's all about distance with TM- always has and always will. A Maraging Steel face iron would feel like a FW without the rubber insert.

And yes Wilson did the Reflex many many years ago, and it flopped. I wouldn't be shocked if these did too...

i wil preorder today or tomorrow. i love my 2.0s but shoot i just get older and older. the bad thing is i just told my wife that the reason im playing well is that i havent bought a new set of irons in almost 2 years. dam i wish i could keep my mouth shut. i bought 5-aw before and practically never used the 5 iron. i love my hybrids but i always hope ill find some low irons i can hit again.
