If you wanted and the slots offer "consistent distance" why would you pull them out of the short irons? The most important clubs to have consistent distance are the short irons, no?

#1 market share is an accomplishment...no doubt. Just b/c your #1 though doesn't mean you have the best product out there. Just means you sold the most. A lot of people out there buy clubs for no other reason than they are trendy or different.

The long irons are launching higher, which is good. And there are no slots in the short clubs, which is also good. More distance is not the key. Watch the video.

Thanks and I did watch. The same words were repeated, more distance. Yes they threw in controlled distance but I don't believe them. You know they pay and sponsor those tour players that were in that video right?

Anyway, back on point, since the slot is not on the attack irons there will be a nice gap between the long irons and attack irons.

Haha I did! I posted it in the other thread. It was like that for 10 minutes for me, it wouldn't switch over to the RocketBladez page with the videos. Thankfully HipCheck posted them here so I could watch.

Those lofts were the Tour Specs... Very good they went without jacking up the lofts. Here are the Regular Specs:

You do not want high launch in short irons.

Had me till I saw mega offset. Do want in onset or very minimal offset version. Like I said before, looking for a replacement for my R9 TP irons in low offset and stainless steel. Crossing fingers the tour version will be that!

triton is the code name of the iron, the new drivers are rocketballz fixed hosel (already on their website) and R1 is what i've heard replacing r11s, not sure what the 3rd midline driver will be called

Wow, Those are rather strong lofts until well into the set. No wonder they are longer, super light shafts and strong lofts with a speed slot.

Well the loft would have more affect on that than anything else. Just thinking out loud here, the quote was it offered "consistent distance" which sounds like something I'd want in short irons. No bashing here, they look great for the player its designed for...

TM is definately a marketing and production line expert. They make great equipment, but market/hype it even better. I wonder if they had to buy Wilson's patents for the old reflex irons or if they'll buy WIlson after they get sued. And yes, i do play several TM clubs

Posted in the other one but I think it's either code name for the iron or what they are calling the technology used in the irons. If its nothing to do with the iron I think someone at TMAG messed up and that's a different product. I am leaning towards this because they took it down now. On a side not,anyone else see the rocket fuel shaft label's? Guess we know what that is now too!

Well that makes total sense because when you get into long irons the length of the shaft actually brings more ball speed/distance than one less degree of loft. In the short irons its the opposite, the loft is what changes distance more than shaft length. I would be interested to see the shaft lengths posted.

Interesting to note that they compare 6-irons to other manufacturers clubs on their site, but don't mention that the lofts are stronger (+1.5º & 2.5º vs Cally's RAZR X & Tour for instance) and that the shaft is longer...
