the HC has some stealth bomber cues to it. Hopefully the "real deal" KK shafts will be in retail versions of these clubs. Could anyone verify? And anyone know the potential shaft options for the drivers, fw's and brids?

I have read posts liking the silver KK to a whiteboard but the shaft characteristics look eerily similar to the Fubuki design. I also can't believe the red/black KK is going to behave like a blueboard!! I really hope I'm wrong!

It has been posted a number of times in this thread that the Kuro Kage shafts are the real shafts and NOT a made for version shaft. That is a fact.

Can anyone give insight on flight bias of these heads. It just occurred to me that without mwt this could be one of the few performance negatives to this driver.

One thing that I am mad about is the fact that the Performance model doesn't share the looks of the Tour. It seems the Performance has been the chosen driver of most pros. Wish it looked as good as the Tour.

It has been stated many times that displacing weight less than 20 grams has negligible effects on CG placement. This is why every company in the industry went to adjustability in the FA for players that fight hooks and slices.

While I do agree it won't help a chronic slice or hook, I do believe it will turn a slight fade to straight ball flight. We see this all the time with lead tape. There are other benefits to adjustable weight technology. They are it simplifies the ability to hotmelt the club and it makes it way easier to adjust swing weight. This is very important to me because I will be playing this club at 44". I see the Tour has a weight that possibly could be removed allowing one to hotmelt, but the Performance does not appear to offer that at all. Oh well we will see how it works out.

If you look at the pictures for the performance model you can see what looks like a hex screw at the base of the heel in the channel where the adapter screw is. That can probably be taken out to add hotmelt.

How is removing weight from the center back of the driver any better than making the driver lighter and then placing weights in the toe and heel?

Cheers. Maybe the shafts will only need some tipping. I'm over getting aftermarket shafts and tweaking etc etc

I don't think they have released their fitting cart options yet. I won't order a shaft blindly that I can't try out in the head in the exact loft combination I would purchase.

Watching the Singapore Open and Simon Dyson is using the fairway wood I believe. He hit a really bad shot with it though, think he chunked it..

If it's an option, DI6. If not, something like a K.
I have a couple new DI6s I can't wait to install too this coming season but I'm wondering if they'll clash with the red heads - I guess if they perform though it won't matter what they look like.

can someone just help me out but how does taking the back of the club out compare to having weight there like the 913 d2 & d3 which have there weight ports there, wouldnt that mean the nike coverts would just spin up or the other way round,
thank you
I think the theory is that more mass removed from the middle = more perimeter weighting = more forgiveness and straighter shots on off-center hits. It seems they are also advertising a more aerodynamic head for more club speed for longer shots.

Sorry if this has been asked already, but has there been any mention of whether you will be able to load a shaft with a VRS adapter into a covert head? I picked up a VRS for cheap at golf town's annual demo sale with an Oban Devotion shaft, which I'd be interested to see how it would work in the covert if I went that way (not that it doesn't have a great shaft in it already)...
