Like it... I like Nike drivers except sometimes the sound they emit. Wonder what happened to conmpression channel. That was actually great technology.

What I want to know is how can you remove the swoosh? And I would like to see the drivers side by side at address, as well as the fairway woods. It would be nice to see them in comparison with the Vr Pro LE 3 wood.

It doesn't matter if it was a distraction to pros or not. To a large portion of consumers, who will ultimately make or break this club it is a problem. I bought a TaylorMade Superfast TP and the first thing I did was tape off and paint the top red to get rid of the stupid Burner graphics. I don't understand why companies mess this up. You will lose consumers by putting garbage on the top of drivers period. I guarantee you will lose more than you will gain by such foolishness. I for one will try and will probably game this driver even though the swoosh and wording on top absolutely sucks. It is ugly and unnecessary. It is stupid and whoever wanted this on the driver at Nike golf is an imbecile. I still like it and will try it though.

The video was awful the graphics are awful. The tech is great. I see those comparing this to the white drivers. And though I'm not the biggest fan of those either they don't look nearly as gaudy as this. It's not the same thing.

Actually, it wouldn't matter what logo would be on there (I'm playing a Ping driver BTW ). I don't let whatever is on the crown affect the way I should hit the ball nor do I care what marketing exec decided to put the swoosh in that location. That's just an excuse IMO. I'm not going to blame some marketing for me not hitting the ball correctly or not purchasing a certain club if the performance dictates.

The fairways look just about ok, but the driver is a horrible, bulbous mess of a club. I wouldn't have any issue using a red driver, but not this one. It's a shame, as last years VR_S driver was probably the best club Nike have ever made.

When I first heard that this driver was going to be red I was certain that I wasn't going to like it. I've always much preferred a simple, black driver head, I'm not a fan of TMs white either. Now that I've seen it, I actually really want to try it. The Tour version just looks mean. Well done, Nike!

Sound and feel is so subjective but I can tell you this. Nike drivers the last 3 or 4 years have had somewhat of a metallic sound to them, these two new Covert drivers do not; Nike got the sound on these right. [b]To me[/b], they sound like a driver should. Hopefully there will be some in play this weekend that will get some TV time.

Most players aren't trying to create clubhead speed on their backswing so the "drag" that you refer to will be a non issue.

a Cane braggin about championships is worse. Miami is in shambles, 20K fans, looming sanctions and postseason bans. They keep firing a coach and hiring a worse one, Coker to Shannon, Shannon to Golden, and prolly Golden to Joker Phillips. Am I the only one that like the Performance as much as the Tour? I think I like the Performance fairway woods better, in fact. Slightly lower profile to get the ball up in the air, and virtually identical look. Not a big fan of the slightly larger hosel on the tour, but I guess i'll have to see it in person. Plus, the black face and sole start looking beat up so easily. I personally wish they had made the tour fairway non-adjustable too.

The VR_S is far from the best driver Nike has produced. There's a reason most pros clung to the VR Tour or VR Pro LTD. I'm very much looking forward to hitting this.
