leaving for bandon tomorrow AM. my nike wedges made it here just in time! the j40cb's did not they were scheduled to arrive today - but got pushed back until tomorrow - more than likely delivering three hours after i leave. i would love to have had them for the trip, but... somethings just don't work out! i did call to see if they could be rerouted, but apparently they have not had great success... they will be waiting for me when i return home.

Never fear. Even though they have missed this Bandon trip, they will be worth the wait. I love the PXi in my i20's so much that I want to try them in my J40's, which are currently shafted with Steelfiber i95s. The J40 CB is top notch all the way. I'll be interested to hear how you like them compared to the Ansers. I had some Ansers, but frankly like my i20s better!?

I know what you mean about the Covert Tour. It's not forgiving like a G25, but my misses were not terrible. Boy, does it have a flat and piercing trajectory too. I tested it in the winter, but I can only imagine the roll out you would get during the summer! I might have to revisit that one now that things have dried out here.

I'm over in Port Angeles. Nice weather we're having lately, y'know!?

Swanry30 did you have any problems with the rocketbladez tour over spinning because I am and I was wondering what else would be a good recommendation for a new set

The ansers are good for the winter only or wet conditions (for my taste). I put a TMAG MC 2 iron in the bag for bandon and I forgot how huge the soles are on the ansers. Alsos remembered how nice my MCs were! The j40cb are perfect and will give my nikes a real run come fall. Really looking forward to having actual player irons again.

Covert tours are awesome!

Pacific today / old Mac and preserve tomorrow (x2) / bandon Friday.

The ansers are in the bag by default (my fault) as I sold all my gear waiting for the bstones and nikes. Missed them by four hours!!!!

I almost asked a couple of friends to borrow a set of blades for the trip. Oh well! I played the ansers at chambers and hit them well. Hell it's bandon

Yes... Spun them way too much.

I would suggest waiting for the new nikes when they come out or a set of j40cbs. My opinion only - but i feel they are the best retail offerings available.

I've tried to bail on the Ansers several times but they are so good... I just can't do it.

the anser's played surprisingly well at bandon... probably the most difficult conditions i have ever played in. gives me a ton of respect for the guys playing at the open championship. i almost think that in cases some of the elevated or plateaued greens could make some of the bandon courses more difficult than some of the courses where you can truly RUN everything in to the greens. either way my last day started the worst (with the driver) yet i held it together and straightened everything out - battling and grinding my way to a 75. i don't think that i have ever played so focused. need to bring this more often

when it came down to it the .2ts was a better fit for me to control spin. i really like the .3ts and probably would be still playing it had i not gone to the oven...! plus as you mentioned it matches the covert head better

honestly with this being the busy work season and having two active little girls - this summer has been boring on the golf front. combine that with the amazing OVEN experience earlier this year and i have no reason to search or test other equipment. kind of takes the fun out of it LOL!

right now could not be happier with my bag - with the exception of the bag itself... it only gets better when the nike irons arrive. that will be a great shootout - j40cb vs nike 14 splits... as great as the bstones are - the nike's are so so sick...!

not much... i should clarify my spin comments. my load pattern better suited the .2ts. the spin wasn't as noticeable until hitting into the severe wind that we were experiencing.

i am going to find a 7.3ts at some point of time and load it up in the CT to see how different it is. this is the first time i have ever played a driver over 8.5*... the ct is set to 10.5R and still flights on the mid low side. perhaps slightly more spin would change the look?

was contemplating taking the METHOD proto 003 out of the bag for my round yesterday as i was having a difficult time with my stroke. put the ghost spider in the truck and headed to the course. as i took my bag out i just didn't feel right switching putters - so the spider stayed in the truck. very glad that i stuck with the METHOD... i think that i finally figured out my stroke (going away from a very balanced mallet putter). there is no other putter that rolls the ball quite like the METHOD.
