Some t** shouted too early and disturbed Ken Duke during his swing, he shouted "too early guys" and Faldo and co made some weak comment about it being inappropriate; and this is the problem, people in positions to actually make an issue of this and highlight it just glossing over it. McDowell calls someone a wanker and everyone pretends it didn't happen.
So, are they worried that they can't control it? Faldo said about the Duke incident, which I think happened on 10, adjacent to a beer tent, "A case of too much beer I'm afraid". So does that mean that because it is a large crowd of drunks it can't be tackled, that it has to be tolerated?
I don't think it will go away on its own and that the solution lies in the hands of the PGA.

I've had for the last 15 holes some idiot shouting "BUBBABOOEEE" (Whatever this means). It could only be one idiot shouting this as its the stupidest word.

Bloke would have had stern words if I was in the gallery..

More importantly why hasn't crowd control sorted it.

i always figured it would be easy to implement some sort of "gallery has to be quiet for 3 seconds after the shot" type rule....they could pass it off as being out of respect for the players for any reason really

i don't think people are going to yell baba booey after a few seconds, whole point is to do it quickly before anyone screams

No, what I'd like is to watch a PGA event without some moron shouting moronic phrases after every tee shot. The Taliban would prob allow celebratory weapons fire after every tee shot, that would be annoying too, not to mention the beheadings.

The best of both worlds. People stop yelling like idiots so people stop complaining about it.

Of course if you don't like the complaining you can ignore threads like this. If you don't like the yelling you have to watch golf without the volume.
