yeah it is....I feel a trip out there coming on after Labor Day. That's when I usually do the most damamge to the golf stuff.

I know Brad is having issues with his elbow and he doesn't come on here anymore, and I haven't heard from Joe K in over a month, so no idea what he's up to. Maybe we could try and get a group of four for labor day weekend? I don't know how your schedule is though..

I think I need to start avoiding courses with parallel fairways running close to eash other. I had two separate people steal two balls from me today on back to back holes. I can't figure out what compels someone to steal someone elses ball, especially when it's not even on their fairway..

Sounds like you've been playing little mountain. That's happened to playing partners a few times. Cheap bastards can't buy their own balls.

This was at roses run on the back 9. Anyone who has played there knows how crowded holes 13-15 are. I'm not a huge fan of playing there but everywhere else is usually booked in the afternoon with leagues.

I flat out hate 13 and 14 there.

I live in Stow. Roses is interesting, but I enjoy playing there. The condition is really hit or miss, but when it's good, I think it's a pretty solid course. Hitting iron-3 wood on a par 5 is kinda weird. 13 is a tough hole, I've hit in onto 14 so many times there.

At least 15 is a good hole to get a stroke back. 12 is a ball buster of a par 5 as well. As a whole I like the course

If anyone is a fan of Chippewa I played there today and course is in good shape. They had the club championship this past weekend and the greens are nice and firm. Made it interesting because typicallly when I play there they are pretty soft. Had a great time getting together with my uncle for the first time this year.

I actually really enjoy Chippewa.... very fun layout IMO especially since we usually play skins games or 2-man best balls. Great course for those formats. Man, the middle of that back 9 is no joke.

Yep it can bite you for sure especially from the back tees. ( i always play the tips there) A good tee shot is a must on all three IMO which can be tricky. I will give up distance every time just to be in the fairway. I missed the fw left by about two yards on 15 so even though I had a 9 iron it was below my feet and I was blocked out slightly by trees so trying to turn it over from a lie that says don't even think about it lol.

I like the course because I usually end up hitting every club in my bag.

I'm stoked. I found a brand new R1 Black at the golf store. Never been hit, still in the plastic. I couldn't resist and snatched it up @ $200. I already threw the good shaft in it and took it out for a spin. Now I am trying to decide whether to sell the white one or hang on to it.

Yeah. The white experiment was a failure to me. I hit it well but never liked how it looked. Adding the White Tie shaft just made too much white. The white shaft looks really good with the black driver head now. I even hit it fairly straight today at Firestone Farms.

I am nuking my r1 black and speeder 6.2 combo. And by nuking I mean I hit one 290 today, in the fairway. A lot of others were 275 ish.

That's not too shabby. I'd take that every time and never complain. That being said, my last couple times out I have hit some big ones. Friday I hit one every bit of 320 and Tuesday I hit one about that far too. That club is killing me right now though. I am trying to teach myself to hit fades and draws and I can do it on the range with alignment sticks really well, but when I get out on the tee box with no alignment sticks, everything is a push or pull. I get too many thoughts going at once and even just completely mishit it. The rest of my game has been pretty good lately, but the penalties and punch outs are driving my score up. The usually reliable 3 wood has been hitting some errant pulls out of nowhere too lately so I don't even have that to fall back on. It might be time for me to call Sean Foley.

I played a lot of golf last week.
8/29 - Village Green (Grew up here, fun track for confidence boost, not maintained well but fair, green, and not pot-marked)
8/30 - Harbor Golf Club - Course is showing it's age and poorly maintained, greens were fast but finnicky.
9/2 - Peak n Peek Upper & Lower - Upper course was great, greens a tad slower than usual. Lower course greens were lightning and rolled super pure.
9/3 - Little Mountain CC - Wow, TONS of people playing here. online deals for $26 are showing, all fwy's were covered in cart tracks. Greens are gross, bunkers are a disaster. Great layout though
9/5 - Wicked Woods & Fowler's Mill - WW had a mower break, fwy's were FURRY, greens were great. Super fun layout for a scramble, gimmicky for solo. FM - Yikes, greens are lightning, conditions were superb
9/6 - Whispering Woods - Poured rain night before and 2 shotguns, played in 2nd. Greens were fast but potmarked and spike marks were horrid. Punched some fairways. Course played super long, super soft, wet.
