Haha I had the 800s and then saw the 825s refinished and HAD TO HAVE THEM!

As for 4i, Im looking for one rt now. Thinking Fli-Hi or MPH4.

I have a Fli Hi 4 i would be willing to part with. It has a project x 5.5 in it though. Not sure which shaft you are looking for. Looks like you might need +1/2 as well. Lovin the look of your 825 pros though. I was on the fence between those and my mp 53s. I went with the 53s due to price, and turns out I am pretty happy with them.

.... im ruined too. After seeing the other dudes and your 825s i want a set badly. And do the same refinishing. Why would I switch irons? Because I'm hitting my current set so well. I have to mess my game up somehow

And look no further than the MP H4. Wonderfully easy to hit. Ideally, I'd do G-6 825pro, 4-5 MP H4 (possibly even a 3 iron). But you are a big dude, you should be able to create enough club head speed to get the 4 iron in the air well enough. Have you hit that iron yet?

H4 is great, have it in the 2-4 irons. Wouldn't mind getting the 5 iron myself.

MP-54 has a similar forgiveness to H4 in my opinion.

Last but not least, great bag - no doubt.

Stop buying clubs you want to keep toying around with, save up and buy some miura's. At least that's my plan.

Actually not at all shocked that went to the new irons, after all, you did state it could be trouble when you saw clean look on other thread. The kbs shafts and +1/2" specs probably fit you well. Personally not a kbs fan, however, many players find it difficult to switch away from them if meets their feel preference. About the headcovers, how do you think compare to others you have tried or priced (Robert Mark, etc.)?
On fairway slot, you know gonna end up with the Uncle Cardy special there......eventually

Haha I thought you just might approve actually since I stayed with the forgiveness, and in the same iron "family" lol.

As for the covers, they're really really nice. They smell like a new baseball glove or new leather boots or something. I saw on Sunfish's website that they sell each piece for like $35 and sets for $99....I got mine brand new off the bay for $55, so feel like i got a really good deal. I think they'll hold up just as well or better than Robert Mark, Illiac, etc. I'm definitely sold.

I probably should just give up and bag the Cardy special. It's a great stick. I've tried to convince myself to do so a number of times, but it always gets auditioned against others...old habits die hard!

I do love the KBS tours. I think they feel a little softer compared to the PX, which I never would have thought I'd like, but man, a ball hit in the center of a mizuno forged iron with a kbs shaft.....what a feeling!

What is involved in the iron re-finish, is the black section you removed just paint?

Yep, bought some aerosol paint stripper, spayed it on, let it sit about 20 mins, wiped clean then took a little knife and scraped out what was left. Also bought 100 grit 3m finishing pads and scuffed the chrome badge in the middle to give a satin look.

Super easy! It was my first club project. I was clueless and it was fool proof... Although, I didn't intend to take out the "mizuno" on the toe or the club number on the sole... Now that it's done I love the clean look of it, but Id have taped those off if I knew the stripper would slide down the back.
