All I can do is drool..... Only 500 sets made. Anyone who is a big fan of the Titleist T stamp irons and Miura, this is the best of both worlds! Anyone wrxer own a set?
[/quote] If Miura has anything to do with these clubs, they're well worth purchasing if you can afford them. A Miura wedge will set you back at least $250, so one can only imagine what a set of these irons would go for. My brother-in-law plays Miura. Says he'll never switch.

I played with a guy a few years ago who had a set of these. I hit the 7 iron on the last hole. Totally awesome feel. I looked on ebay for a set for months, but never saw one at a reasonable price.

I had a set that I got for $600 in plastic in a box after they were released. Sat them in a closet in my office for two years, thought they were a waste just sitting there, and sold them.....for $1000. Actually wish I had kept them.

What good does Tigers Loft, length, and lie do for a golfer, wonder if the shafts are x100's Tiger tipped (1/4 tipping)

Would these be more for show than play?

I bought a set of MB heads from Hoffman just before they closed down. They were satin and had a gold H on them and then the club number. Very clean and simple looking blade head.

They looked identical to the Titleist 681's that Hoffman had been forging for Titleist when Titleist cut them off completely due to some of the chrome plating peeling off. They also had a set of CB heads that were close to the same. Always made me think that I had a set of 681's without the logo on them, some have said no but I say yea.

I shafted them up and had many good rounds with them and shot some very low scores. Wish I had never sold them.

We have 2 sets of the Titleist Tiger Woods Replica Forged Irons and it looks different than those. That one must be a Japan-Only version? Ours came with a wooden display case and a hand signed letter of authenticity. Also ours just has the T stamp and not the numbers. I'll post pictures if anyone is interested.

It wouldn't be too hard to find these in Japan. I think.

And... there they are: http://page17.auctio...tion/v472379621

And.. again http://page23.auctio...tion/o166603733

And again... http://page13.auctio...tion/r172980556

I'm by no means a Titleist Irons expert (let alone Titleist) but I do know that those listings are T models but not true replicas as found in the pictures of the first postings. The shafts are a dead givaway. S400s...no. Tiger plays X100s (I don't know if he still does).

Not true replicas, but it's the closest thing us mortals can buy if we wanted to play like him.

10.5 deg Titleist 905R with stock UST Proforce V2 Shaft (Stiff flex)
Titleist 990 (3-PW) with stock Dynamic Gold in S300
Taylormade V-Steel 5W & 3W with Grafalloy Prolaunch Red shafts (Regular Flex)
2011 Adams Tom Watson signature wedges in 52 and 56 degrees with stock steel shafts (Player's Grind)
Rife Island Series Aruba Blade Putter

My father-in-law got a set of Titleist blades that were made for 10 special individuals (not for him, but he was friends with one of those individuals), at the same time they were forging Tiger's blades. All made to the exact same specs, except that none of them were stamped. The heads are blank, the only marking is on the hosel, with the initials of those ten guys. They have the X-100 shafts. My father-in-law tried to play them for a season or two, but just couldn't hit them. He said when he would hit the sweet spot, they had a very dense feel to them. Now they sit in his closet with 20 other sets of blades. Too bad I am left handed, or I would have stolen them long ago.

The 681s and 681T's are very playable...if you can call a blade playable. Yes, the sweet spot is small, like just about any other blade. But with the right shafts, they are not that difficult to game. I played a set for nearly two years. Just like any other set of blades. 6-PW were great. 3 - 5, unforgiving if you are not spot on.

The Hoffman forgings were fantastic product.

Agree. I played the 681s until the new groove ruling went into effect and switched to the 680s which made the conforming list. Will probably move to the 716s when my 680s wear out. Should be able to pick some up cheap on flea-bay.
