Things I really like about watching pro golf

I think that other topic is just too predictable. And relentlessly negative, of course.

1. The Aussie accents when watching live golf on a dark November evening.

2. The crowds at the Open, racing to get a view of the action at the final green.

3. Dogs playing in the surf at Pebble.

4. Blue and green vistas during the Hawaiian swing in January. And humpback whales.

5. A player - especially a journeyman - getting that first, and perhaps only, win (Jim Herman's win was so cool).

6. DJ's walk.

7. Seve, peering through the trees.

My favorite is when the leader stumbles early in the final round and then rallies to win. Love seeing the never give up attitude

Victory interviews with guys like Brett Rumford and today Tommy Fleetwood. Not just standard phrases. And today he even tuned the Scouse down, I could understand just about everything.

I really enjoy the Champions Tour most of the time, they show at least 5x the amount of golf as the networks and a lot of full swings, not just putting

I also enjoy the Hawaii events and Pebble for the reasons you mentioned.

This just doesn't have the feel of a standard GolfWRX thread. :)

I for one like Johnny Miller talking about his 63 at Oakmont on a Sunday. If I had done that you could bet I'd have my thumbs in my suspenders pointing at myself for the rest of my life too.

I love first time winners. Especially if they've toiled in the sun for a long time to get that win. As well as it being life changing for many of them it gives them a bunch of exemptions if they're not highly ranked, plus they'll always have that one week where they were the best golfer out there.

Someone throwing darts Roy MacAvoy style on Sunday and/or the leader just being completely ruthless, making everything, coming out of every situation.

Watching them thriving under pressure makes me happier then seeing crappy shots or someone struggling.

As a kid in the 1970s the total weekend coverage of a regular tour event was two and a half hours, now that's six. And that's just on over the air tv, add in cable and your average tour event gets fifteen hours a week of coverage.

Bunch of pessimistic grumpy whiny crybabies we are. As a group, but certainly not me. I'll be right back, damn neighbor kids are on MY lawn again!! I can't hit my wedges when they're trampling MY grass down.

I love watching players get emotional after a win, could be first or have not won in a long time! It can be any of them, PGA, LPGA, LET, Web.com, it lets you know how much it means and that they are human too.
