    Lots of people like theirs.

Lots of people got rid of their sets for different reasons.

Maybe some others will chime in.

I've seen a lot of people have success with them

Enjoying mine, I think the price (for a TM iron) has put a few people off.

Still loving mine. I will say that the 3 has been replaced with the 790 and the 4/5 may soon follow. 6-PW will remain 770 though.

I absolutely love mine. It took a huge mental leap to move from Mizuno to TM for my irons but I have no regrets. TM has made some really solid irons this year.

May I ask - how you were able to make them that expensive? Also - aren't most of the other brands which are apples to apples irons going to be just as expensive with graphite (and maybe optional grip)? I went to the website and was able to get 6 irons to $1260 with the maxed upcharge on both shaft and grip. So I guess it's possible. I'm just wondering what other manufacturers give you that same setup for cheaper?

Here in Canada most irons sets start at 1299-1499 with the stock shafts and grips so everything is expensive. Just get use to it I guess

Still using/loving my P770's but am going to rebuild the set with the 790's in the 4,5 & 6 iron. Reshaft the rest with the DG 105 S300 and I'm good to go for 2018.

They're good irons, they just don't fall into a niche category at all.

    If you're a "player" you're going to gravitate toward P-730 or P-750

If you're a GI Iron guy, you're likely to want the P-790 w/ all of the performance reviews out on it.

The P-770 doesnt look as clean as the players irons, and doesn't help as much as the P-790. What reason would there be to buy it?

Yea I've noticed quite the progression in prices lately.

When I used to work at a Big Box sports retailer 3 years ago, a normal set of forged irons were around $1100-1200 CDN. Looking at the premium sets now they range from $1400-1600. Works out to be around 180-200 dollars for a club with stock shafts up from $150.

Now we have Epics and PXG and well, I guess eggs in Canada are expensive too..

I think from a conversation perspective the P790's have been sucking all of the oxygen out of TM discussions recently.

770's are the ugly step child at this point. The classic 730's that Rose/Rors play, the 750's that most of the other staffers are on and then the 790s that a lot of tour guys now bag in the long iron area, plus all the buzz with the 790 release in general. 770 kind of does nothing as well as any of the other clubs can whether it be looks, performance or tour validation.

I like the 770s much better than the 790s I hit. Some of these comments are hilarious and likely from people who haven't even hit the entire lineup. Classic WRX stuff here!!! Keyboard clubfitters unite!!

I thought the 770's were a very decent club. I put them side by side with the MP-18 MMC or SC and they performed very well in that comparison. I know at this point everyone likes to compare feel but it's just too subjective I think. Distance, dispersion and those kind of things .... these clubs were neck and neck for me.

I have a set of heads that I robbed the shafts from for my i200's and can say that from a feel and performance, the P770's are superior to me. They are perhaps a tad boxier looking, but that doesn't bother me at all. I'm just trying to pick some new shafts for the P770's right now. Very soft for a club with as much tech as it has.

I could see replacing the 3/4/5 with the 790, but I'd have to see about the head to head performance.

So...nothing wrong with the P770's at all!

I suspect the P790 attracts people that want to play a blade like iron with lots of forgiveness; note stock shafts. I don't like it because of specs, and speed foam like Titleist A3. Don't like 770 either. All of them are nice looking, though. Of the lot, my choice would be 750 proto or 730. Having said that, TM lost me because specs and NO matching 2 iron to any of their irons.

When You see people just ditch ther clubs for something as ugly as these irons, well, it makes you wonder what's going on in this game.

P730 is nice but sounds like a std.

I'm still a big fan of my P770s. And I understand all the buzz has gone to the P7 90s and that's good but I can't see you replacing my 770s with them. I could see adding a 790 3 iron or 4 iron. But I love the feel and performance. They make me confident over a shot. Another aspect is the Modus 105S shafts are a great combo.

730’s look like any other blade. And they are $1800 cdn for the set.

$1800 for a plain old set of blades! I could buy a set of old TM blades like DJ uses for $250 and they would perform the same

P770 look great to my eye.

P790, good hybrid replacement and driving iron. No need to hit my 7 iron 200 yards and then need 8 wedges to fill gaps.

As a long time Mizuno owner, I really wanted to like and buy the JPX 900's, but they just didn't look or feel right to me. The 770's are a nice compromise......not too big, and not too small. They fit my eye perfectly, are workable and feel great! I thought I might have difficulty with the longer irons, but they are plenty forgiving. Despite the hype of the 790's I have no interest in switching.
