Thoughts on Taylor Made P-7TW Irons

The new Taylor Made P-7TW where announced and I wanted to get everyone thoughts on them on looks and price. If you have the money would you spend the reported $2000.00 price for Dynamic Gold Tour S400 and Golf Pride Tour Velvet Cord Grips?

I think they are gorgeous and I would love to game them but I don't need them. It's cool that TMag brought them to the market. In a world where I was going to play them, it would be with x100 instead of s400 probably. That would be the only change.

You will only know by placing them in your hands and seeing how they look, sound, feel. If you put a piece of duct tape over the stamp on the back then they are simply blades. Blades will allow you to manuever the ball more easily than a cavity iron...is that what you want. BUT, you need to be an excellent ball striker or distance and precison will be lost....anybody for lots of practice!

Same metal as the P730, same lofts...slightly different blade length. If you have "I am Tiger Woods" embroidered on the side of your bag then these are for you!!!

They look sweet, like most blades do but wouldn't fit me even if it was a fraction of the price.

I think they look great, but I am no where near good enough to play blades, no matter what the price is.

I think they are cool as hell but there is NO WAY i could hit them...well I could hit them but not very well. Would be cool to just have in the bag though if I had the $$ to drop on them.

I'm buying them and gaming them. Can't wait.

Expensive and overpriced just because it's a set or irons to Tiger's specs. A lot of regular Joes cannot handle that stiff of a shaft (let alone hit it on the button consistently). If one wants to buy it as a collector's item then there's nothing wrong with that. But if one wants to buy it and game it yet questioning its price then I suggest buying a set of P730s which is a little cheaper but still very bladey or get a set of used Nike VR TW blades or the 2002 Nike blades if you insist of playing the same clubs that Tiger uses but don't want to fork out $2k.

They are a beautiful set of irons. I could game them with x100s. I play the same grip and shafts so that’s an easy switch for me. I played victory red tw, vr pros, vapor pro so I love me some blades. These blade are a little different when compared to 730s. I like the look a little more and have always enjoyed playing a tiger inspired blade. If I decide to buy I’m gaming them.

Blades plus Tungsten supporting / behind the sweetspot is a hot win. Those tiger blades look great but, it makes you think about some other blades with the support that his has. To a little higher degree, the Cobra MBs *new edition* that Fowler uses look more and more appealing. Good on TM for releasing these.

Very nice looking MB's. If I wasn't playing the Callaway MB, these would have my attention, although the price is a little steep. Wonder how they compare to the 730's

I can say they are one of the best feeling irons ever. Way different look and feel compared to the P730.

would like to give them try but I don't think that will be happening

I would love a set - I've spent the last 15 years playing various Nike blades (still have the VR Pros in the bag) so feel confident they would work for my game - they even come as standard with my preferred shaft.

But they are up for £2,049 over here in the UK for 3 - PW. That's a lot of money for a set of irons that are basically the same as what I have (and which cost me £220 from Golfbidder). That also puts you in the ballpark of some very tasty Japanese forgings, such as Miura or Vega, which I would struggle to overlook for a set of TaylorMade.....

I am a big Tiger fan - and currently looking for a set of blades. There is no friggin way I spend 2k on a set of TaylorMade irons.

would love to give them a try, but the relative secrecy behind the release , plus the inflated price tag means if i hit them it will be after a used set rolls around for half price or less.... so give it a few months and ill let you know .

They look awesome, perform incredible and every mid-handicap player should game them and then post their experiences in a thread to set off the CB fanboys
