I've been using a US half-dollar. It's large, fairly flat, easy to find in pocket. My other is a South Korean ₩100 coin. But I don't use it often as it's the exact same size as a Canadian/US quarter.

I use a Byron Morgan ball marker (since I am gaming a Byron Morgan putter). The pictures shown are the same marker I have but the pictures is someone using the same marker.

I'm another one who uses markers from Seamus Golf. I have a copper marker with "Be the Ball", and a brass one that doubles as a bottle opener. Those are both pretty big, so I always carry a smaller marker from one of the Scottish or Irish courses that I've played over the years.

One can spend a few dollars to buy a ball marker or one can spend about the same to get a 90% sterling U.S. 50 Cents coin. Just about the size which no one could say "oh , I did not see it ". and easier to pick up than the quarter coin.
One additional add on, it'll retain it's value. I've got a few of those in the golf bag. Not mint, uncirculated collectible coins, it'll be a shamed to put those to daily use.

Got one of these with a Dormie Driver headcover. Something different. A bit smaller than a poker chip

I use this one that I made, getting a nice patina on it now. Actually dropped it out of my pocket a month ago on a tee box, and went back and found it, really didn't want to lose it. Other side says " world of the unlikely and bizarre" there Rush lyrics.

I keep coins from my travels in my bag. Came back from my recent UK trip with a ton of various denominations so I reckon I'll be using those for a good long while.

I do the same. I have coins from 4 continents now, and it’s nice to share them with people who don’t have a marker handy. They appreciate it, and it can be a good ice breaker to start conversation when playing with someone you’ve just met.

Those look awesome Smitty. I remember seeing a post when you made some and were selling them but I missed out. Have you thought about making more sometime?

I would love to have a "cool" or go-to ball marker, but I lose things like that way too easily. So now I've resorted to using whatever loose change/coin I find in my cup holder that day.

I've got an assortment of coins from all over the world (from my uncle's collection when he passed, and my dad's collection from when he was in the navy), random quarters and nickels, poker chips, and giant commemorative coins from work all in one of my bag pockets. There's probably 40 coins in there. I reach in, and which ever one comes out is what I use. I'll give the quick cursory feel for my poker chip, but if I don't get it within a second or 2, no telling what is coming out.

$100 poker chip from a casino in New Orleans that I eventually walked out with back in 1995..

I use nearly any coin I have, a few magnetic markers, etc. But when I search my bag, I find my favorites, A Rolling Stones poker chip, an Aruban 50c piece and a Barbadian dollar coin. The later two are either square (Aruban 50c piece) or 5 or 7 sided (I think) Barbadian dollar.

Funny, many have no idea what it is. I've had guesses of something from Star Trek to "do you still have the gun that shoots those?".

Alabama quarter. I am a terrible putter and ol' Helen Keller (blind and deaf, like my putting) is on the back of that thing. Perfect fit for me.

I have multiple, but my weird superstition always lead to me using only one of my college team - that must always be put on the green with a specific side up

I'm a child of the 80s so I had the toy gun that shot those! Unfortunately I'm not a musician so I really have no clue what that is??!!
