Best rounds of match play golf on YouTube?

match play is probably my favorite format to watch. which matches on youtube would you all recommend? PGA, LPGA, amateur -- doesn't matter to me, just looking for some riveting 1v1 matches to watch!

The recent kizner vs foreplay podcast guys is actually pretty good. They actually have a couple full length ones that are good, ones at bethpage, and a couple others.

The Rick Shiels/Peter Finch matches are a good watch.

jittery jerge and wedgely are a couple of my favorite pro vloggers right now. would recommend to all.

^ Second Bryan bros, probably the 2 highest level players I've watched on YouTube (as well as great banter between brothers). GM golf has a serious match every Sunday that they post, Garret and Micah are both good players. The last Shiels v Finch golfbidder challenge was a good match. I always enjoy the Crossfield v. pros matches on his channel.

No Laying Up & anything with Erik Anders Lang (Skratch or Random Golf Club Films) is the best golf content by a mile. This didn’t really answer your question necessarily but if you are golf obsessed enough to watch classic highlights I can guarantee you will not find two better rabbit holes to travel down. NLU has 52k and EAL has 130k subscribers, thats insanity considering the quality content they put out for free.

you're right -- this is not what i'm looking for, but i appreciate your comment. i agree NLU and EAL produce quality content and i've enjoyed watching their stuff in the past.

separately, i watched the 2019 amateur championship match last night and was not disappointed.

the usga has posted a couple of mid ams from the last several years ... '16/'18 ... good stuff there ... some quality golf, but also some really bad shots here or there by a couple of the players ... really, really liked those ... and 2nd the kizner match ... that was fun to watch ...

USGA also have been posting the last 9ish holes + playoffs for US Opens. Its some great content. I know its not match play, but If you werent alive for the US Opens its a lot of fun to watch it.

The Shell WWOG vids are not super competitive but they are usually with entertaining guys on interesting courses.

Shell’s WWOG has some great matches. Jack Nicklaus vs Sam Snead at Pebble Beach was remastered. Crazy to see how the course conditions have changed and how punishing the course gets off the fairway.

another upvote for GM golf's sunday matches with garrett v. micah, especially now they're using shot tracer on the videos.

The final round of the 2000 PGA Championship was effectively match play between Tiger and May, and IMO the greatest golf since the Duel in the Sun. Tiger began the round with a one shot lead, but after a two-shot swing at the par-5 second hole, he had to come from behind to win. Tiger played great, but May hit one amazing shot after another to stay with him. Both players shot 31 on the back nine, both players finished at -18, five shots clear of the field and a PGA Championship record, so they went to a three-hole playoff to decide the championship.

The leaders tee off about 26 minutes in.

Another + for bryan bros. They came to fame from their trick shots, then Wesley made the tour a few years back. George can absolutely hold his own though and both are super entertaining with their banter.

I'll add in an honorary mention for GM_Golf too. Garret and Micah are both well above average golfers, playing as average golfers on average courses. Aimed at a younger/millennial crowd, but still entertaining.

Great thread, I never saw those 2016 Ryder Cup matches, wow, what a day. Of course I saw some of the 2018 debacle (sigh). It is a shame there is no 2020 match, should have been played w/o spectators.

But back to the matter at hand, wasn't there a final of the US Women's Amateur 2 or three years ago on Fox that went like nine extra holes? Can anyone find video of that? I saw the match, and the woman who lost had like six or seven putts from 15 feet and in to win and couldn't. I think she was a college player who lost to some young phenom, If someone could find that it would something to watch.
