Anyone know what size shaft a Scotty Studio Stainless Newport would take?

Emailed Scotty to confirm and the customer service rep came back that they don't publicly disclose what the shaft measurements are that fit the putters....?? Is it just me or does that seem kind of ridiculous? Like guys i just want to put a new shaft in my putter and need to know what fits, not looking for the blueprints to his tour collections....

Except for the Mid Surs designed for mid and long playing lengths that are 370 tip.

My guess is he was trying to push me towards sending it in to the Custom Shop.

.355 taper installed a project x 6.0 i purchased from golf galaxy (new in one of there close out shaft bins for $3.99) glued it cut it to 34" perfect fit.

There is nothing proprietary about .355 taper tip shafts. Golfworks sells the exact same True Temper stepless shaft Cameron used for years for $10.

Cameron no longer uses True Temper shafts in his Newer Lines as previously stated. Cameron uses Nippon shafts. The Black Newport 1.5s use a proprietary size made only for Cameron.

For that model (pending neck style), the plumbers neck style is most likely (based on my experience w/plumbers neck models) is .355. As others have noted, the UST is a good one and available from GolfWorks, etc.

Gonna jump back in on this since I got the same response from Cameron when I emailed.

I want to reshaft a Scotty Select GoLo 5. I've read a few places that it might be a .370".

Anybody done any work on these before?

Been told that it needs a flair tip. Golfworks sells a true temper that should fit. Assuming it's a .395

Santa Fe requires a .382” flare tip.  Not the same as the new flow neck/flow jet which requires a .395” tip.

 

The correct Scotty putter shaft is a YSC, .355T with the difference between what’s commonly used (YST) is the butt diameter is .60 versus .580”.  I’ve used both, and considering the fact that I build us all of my grips with at least 4 wraps, I can’t tell the difference.  Some of you with tiny hands that use one wrap could tell, I can’t.

Also- not to be ‘that guy’ but dial calipers are cheap, they are great for measuring and figuring out tip sizes.  
 

Another trick is the crescent wrench/drill bit size approximation.  Not as accurate, but given the differences in tip sizes it will point you in the right direction.

Putter lounge has a 382 flare tip In black.  I just put one in my Cameron studio head

I have a 2014 Select Squareback with a single bend shaft. I’d like to replace it with a KBS CT Tour if possible. But can’t find any solid info on tip dimensions. KBS makes their straight shaft in .355 taper and .370, but the single bend and double bend are only offered in .370.

All Cameron single bend shafts I believe are proprietary from Nippon. You generally will not find a perfect aftermarket replacement.

Hi. I'm needing to replace my California Monterey plumb neck shaft for a longer one and as I've refinished the head in black, I thought a nice black shaft would look good.

Can I be safe to say the tip will be .355?
