The Vega VC01 looks a lot like the Maltby TE.

Check out wans_customs on Instagram and you can see the vm-01 heads he refinished for me. They came out really nice and Im pleasantly surprised at how easy they are to hit. Really solid irons

Why would you "rotate" irons... How are you supposed to get comfortable and "learn" how to play certain shots with them; how much shaft lean needed for a perfect knock down, what to expect from their turf interaction and divot depth, how much you need to close or open the face for the required fade or draw,etc. This doesn't sound like a wise decision at all... And detrimental to your overall consistency... And scorecard.

 

Master those Vegas until you know them and can utilize them to their limits.

 

Both sets are blades, same everything, shaft, swingweight, lie, loft, etc...so no real difference in playability, so rotating between the two is seamless for me. Like having a couple sets. Shoot equally well with both sets. just sayin.

 

Ahh... Well that's a whole different story. What's the other set?

Callaway Apex MB 2017-18 models...best blade they have made IMHO.

I'm guessing the Apex MB that he's mentioned 3 times are his other set...

 

Guess my mind wasn't at full capacity yet this morning...lol.

 

So, Apex MB looks like they would be more forgiving than the Vegas. Is that accurate?

 

To be totally honest, the amount of muscle to blade ratio on the Vega is the most I have seen in a blade...I would say the Vega set is a bit more forgiving than the Apex MB, but I also believe the Apex MB is the most forgiving blade Callaway has made. I don't consider the Razr X MB a 'true' blade btw.

 

I really like them both.

Yep all black, finish looks amazing in person and wears well and I agree these heads are pretty forgiving! mine aren't going anywhere anytime soon

thanks, and the Black Raw VDC01 set it being built for Sunday testing tomorrow night!! Just a more forgiving set for when the blades need to go to time out!!

So been a Vega kick for a bit this year, and saw these and had to get them...for when the Blades are being bad...yeah, that was why I got them....probably not...just wanted them...played them last week for first time and was very impressed, feel great!!

 

Put KBS $-taper Black in them with Red Iomic Sticky 2.3 grips!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

They are a raw black finish, will rust if I don't keep clean and dry!! So far so good!!

I have exact same bag. LOVE how my clubs dont shake around and clank together while riding on a golf cart. Only complaint I have is I wish it was a tad bit more sturdy for twisting. Other than that, I've been more than pleased with it. Really good bag.
