Typed this up on a bender lol, so pardon if math is wrong (Prices are right though! and based on 200 people) my club is packed (130+ rounds a day, normally we are at 50ish) so I have been busy an inactive for a little while. This is something that I care about and want to produce, so I welcome everyones input.

Love the idea and appreciate the effort. Only concern I have is that the dates are square in the middle of hurricane season in FL. (Probably the best time to get these good rates though, so probably worth the chance)

Awesome work BNGL. You’ve put a lot of time and effort into this. I really hope it comes to fruition.

The one thing I would do is really try to get some of the “iconic” WRXers there. Richard, DavePelz4, Sean, (and many I’m forgetting)etc. Guys who we feel almost like we’ve gotten to know over the years through their posts. And bonus points if you can get PepperTurbo there.

Kind of on The front edge of an active season. They start spinning for real mid September. Orlando can be a muggy furnace in August though, pray for wind.

I really like the idea. The format spikes the curiosity of 14 cap hacks like me. A huge number on one hole doesn't mean auto-elimination. I'm always good for at least one big number.

FYI Florida kids are back in school by then because.. I really have no idea why and it sucks but they are. Disney get busy this time as well with families trying to squeeze in a trip before Labor Day. Remember lads that to children the word "Orlando" means Disney so be careful and mind your tongue around the family or that rat will pick your pockets clean of lint.

Yeah I understand hurricane season...I live in Jupiter. I said goodbye to my club last August, thankfully (for us) irma went left. But We should be ok...if not I will make sure we get refunded. Weather could be bad at anytime too.

Yeah format is designed to keep everyone n it, and I think that a stableford will do just that.

I have slotted those days into my schedule. I have a few questions though:

1. Curious what tees will be played for each group?

2. In which group would an 8.0 fall?

3. Any idea what the entry fee might be?

4. Coming as a single, how will teams be chosen?

5. Any way we can pay a little extra and get our WRX ID embroidered on the shirt?

Looking forward to meeting everyone!!

Answer for each question:

1: Tees- we will try to accommodate everyone, that being said I also want this event to move along. Right now, in my head I am thinking 63-6600. And then as far back as possible.

2: As far as handicaps go right now, I threw 8 out there as a divider. Ideally my numbers that I am running in my head right now are for 200 people. (which is a big event...) Once the app deadline passes, we will determine where even split is for participants, if the median happens to be a 12.5 then that is what we will do. That way we do not have 150 playing on course one day. It should be about 100 on each, each day.

3: The number I worked off of, was 200 people at 500 entry ENTRY WILL NOT EXCEED 500, I have been very clear to every vendor I have talked too, and they understand and are providing me with options. I want to keep this as cheap as possible while providing an exceptional tournament experience on and off the course. I do think right now I can get everything around 400 (NOT INCLUDING AIRFARE...i cannot do much about that. I maybe able to facilitate a group rate with SW airlines if you would like I can look into that.) Obviously the more people we have the cheaper it can be. 200*400 is 80K I can do a $hit-load with that

4. IF this gets approved, I will be creating a website. On the site will be links to the clubs, hotel, restaurants, orlando airport, sanford airport, etc. You will also be able to pay online. You will have the option of entering as a team, or an individual. It'll be a random pairing with other singles.

5. I can definitely look into that, I am not sure how that would affect price. I can't imagine it would be good, to have 200 different names stitched onto shirts, BUT I will look into it and get back to you.

Please feel free to post any other ideas or suggestion or ask questions that you may have

Awesome! Thanks for the info. The shirt thing was really just an afterthought. SW would be an ideal airline to work with because "Bags fly free!". Everything sounds great though. Looking forward to it!

Is this gonna happen?

I sure hope so. It would be a blast IMHO. Judging from BNGL's last post, he's got it all setup. Not much to discuss until time gets near.
