Southern Hills is kinda centrally located in the US....and I'm sure they wouldn't mind tricking the place up for us yahoos to descend upon their nice club and have a four day party.

 

TGC could pick up the TV coverage.

 

Since it's winter now we could all just pick a weekend in February and book out Streamsong...haven't played there but my friends all say it's nice.

I once spent the month of August in Houston. I can remember walking out of the hotel at 7:30 am and feeling like I was hit with a wave of heat and humidity. lol

This is the sad/awesome part is others don’t see other than my wife and wrxers(in this post) as I tend to Golf at sunup and am home by 9:45am

 

At current count, I have 38 wing tip custom made footjoys, 7 custom made pumas(including the 2007 all gold masters pair) and 9 custom adidas...

 

I have more shoes than my wife...and with each pair I had pants made or bought and knickers and cardigan made to match each show...

Keep in mind I play so early people rarely see me until I’m loading my car to go home ha

I'll ballpark some ideas and make calls this weekend. I doubt we could do anything decent before February, plus northern guys would wanna play before. So sometime in late summer early fall probably...then it would give me (or us) time to get stuff setup

We can also have several different formats to cover everyone’s wants. Might need to be at a place with several courses for these different formats.

If this tournament happened, prepare for a lot of pre and post round excuses of "I've been working a lot and haven't been practicing", "I'm dealing with a glute injury", "I'm adjusting to a new set", "the course didn't fit my eye", etc.. I know that's what I'll be saying if this happens.

My game stinks right now and you should expect to beat me easily even giving me strokes. That's no joke.

My opinion/preference would be for a flighted stroke play tournament that would take place in February or March somewhere warm. The lower caps who play a lot of amateur events are going to be hard pressed to add something to the schedule in the summertime when northern courses are in peak condition and the event schedule is already pretty full.
