I still haven’t given up my 905R with a Grafalloy Blue. It’s the longest straightest driver I’ve ever used and I’m not willing to give it up for 3-7 yards extra distance when I know I’m going to be in the fairway. Hit what you like.

I’ve still got my 910D3 (9.5 RIP A 60) and it is never ever getting sold (again)

If I’m swinging well and can hit the very middle then it is as long and as sweet feeling as anything else.....however.....my F9 is a very very close second in feel and gives me so much more on off centre hits

In summary....if you can consistently middle it then you’ll do well to find a better driver.....if you need more forgiveness then there’s gains to be had!

I had a 910D3 for YEARS with an 86g Proforce V2 that, despite my efforts, would not be kicked out of the bag. It didn’t matter what head/shaft combination that I tried, it always paled in comparison. A few weeks ago, I went in and tested every driver/shaft I could get my hands on and I finally found my unicorn. In a head to head competition, the Cobra F9 with the HZRDUS Smoke bested my trusty D3 in every category. Needless to say I ordered on the spot, and in real-world testing it has lived up to its billing and then some.

Had my 910 D2 for years with zero intentions of ever getting rid of it. Unfortunately I had my bag stolen, so I replaced it.

My new 190ST feels just as good, sounds great and is definitely longer.

I’m not sure why you’re trying so hard to replace something that works so well?

Man I was going to post this exact same thread because I experienced the same thing - my 910D3 with (legit not ‘made for’) 70X kai’li has been in the bag without change For 8 years now! It’s the best club I’ve ever owned as far as distance and consistency, which is crazy considering it’s the first with an adjustable hosel and was rushed into retail after the 909D.

All things considered I’m a 1.2 index and have hit everything at my country club with similar set up and nothing can compare. When you find a set up that works, just keep it going. I also have a near mint 910D3 head with exact same weighting ready if/when my gamer gives in. Keep bagging it!

Have been playing the 910 D3 for 8 yrs. Got the TS3 (was custom fitted) and it is nowhere near as good as the 910. In fact its a piece of crap compared to it. The flight is not as good. Just this low spin thing that doesn't hold its flight as well compared to the 910. Its not as forgiving either. My 910 is just as long if not longer. I have tried the TS3 with 3 different shafts now and I just can't make it perform.

I don't know why people like the TS3. Not in the 910's league.

Based on what you saying you would be one of very few people that have issues with the TS3. Sounds like you should of tried the TS2 because your comments sound like your spin is not high enough. The 910 is a total different animal and "low" spin really was not a thought when it came out.

Today everything is about matching the spin and launch on a driver. I would speculate that you got fitted bad based on what your seeing. I had the same issue with my prior EPIC SZ driver... went to a different fitter and got fitted for a different shaft that was like night and day. I was really pee'd with the Cally driver for a long time but it was all down to a poor original fitting.

BUT ... if it works keep using it..!!!

A few leaked right on me but they were noticeable heel strikes. Forgiveness was superb, and sound off the face is a nice, muted thwack. I had to see what all the hype was about surrounding the M2, and it's definitely a cult-classic for a reason.

+1^ I played the 910D3 forever and went to the 915D3 as I have always been a devote Titleist driver guy. However I had to try the 2016 M2 just like the poster above. I now play the 2016 M2 with a Diamana D+ and a Hzrdus Smoke and I have not looked back at any of the Titleist drivers since, to include the new TS series. Have tried the 2017 M2, and M4 but just not as good at the 2016 M2. The new M6 has me curious, but I can't justify the cost when I could buy two more back up heads for my 2016M2 for way less money! The 2016 M2 has great feel, solid sound, plenty forgiving and it is long! It spins less that the Titleist heads as well. Definitely hard for Taylormade to improve on the 2016 M2, as it might be the best driver they ever made.

I have a 910D3 that I've had since new and came stock with a Project X 7.0 shaft. I always hit it well, consistent and somewhat long but it went into the garage over time. Moved on to other drivers Titleist, Ping, TM and like most here didn't like them as much as the 910. Well I took a new Aldila Rogue 70x shaft I had laying around and on a whim put it into the 910, and now I can say it's not leaving the bag anytime soon. For me it seems to be a great combo, not sure why but it's longer and straighter with the trajectory that I have been craving. the only downside is friends tease me for using such an old club, but I outdrive them all the time.

Couldn’t disagree more.

The 915 sounded like crap compared to the sweet sounding 910. Also, the feel wasn’t even close IMO.

Might add a few yards when missing the center, but other than that the 910 is worlds better than the 915.

Agreed. I had a 915. Sold it because the 910 outperformed it in every way. Just my experience though.

  • 3 months later...

Have the TS3 since January and played practice rounds with it at home but the 910 is miles better. I have no idea why the TS3 gets good reviews. For me its an awful driver. The dispersion on it is awful. I find the flight on it strange. The 910 is if anything longer and is MUCH MUCH more consistent and straighter. I dont know how many loft and shaft combinations I have tried with the TS3 and think ''ok this should do the trick'' and then test it head to head on the course v my 910 and the 910 wins every time. Same shaft lenghts, swingweights and yes I have tried my 910 shaft int he TS3.

I was a member of the, "nothing better than the 910 Club", until I hit the TS2. Been playing the TS2 for about 6 weeks. It's the real deal and the first club since the 910 that I thought is going to be a long-term kinda thing. The TS2 is maybe a little bit longer, but it's more forgiving with respect to strikes that are not center. That said, the 910 is still a gem.

I loved the 910 tried to replace it with the original Epic driver, nope!. Didn’t give me the consistency, next up TS3 another nope and finally on to the Ping G410 plus and this has finally dethroned the 910!

It was tough finding anything better and I could still happily play the 910, I don’t think I would be giving up anything really

Good Choice. Those are great cast clubs with the feel of forged. If it wasn't for my current gamers (1999 Hogan Apex) that I found on Craigslist for $80 CDN, I'd still be gaming them.

I currently game the f8+ playing @ 44 inches and d4 swingweight, but can't help but miss my 910 d3. 910 was as consistent of a club I've ever swung. And when centered I feel was longer than the f8. I still have 2 910 heads in the garage. Maybe it's time to throw a shaft in one again and have continental golf give it a matte treatment so it feels new to me.

Fake news.

The head has a lot to do with it. Understand that shaft is very good, but the 910 works very well with many other shafts.

I have tried my 910 shaft in the Ts3 and the Ts3 shafts in my 910. The 910 is a far better head imo. The Ts3 has a strange flight. Even when you put a good swing on it it seems to miss fairways falling to the left or right. I reckon the centre of gravity is too far forward in an effort to get impressive ball speed numbers on Trackman. It's Titleists version of the SLDR. Who on tour is playing well with it? Where is Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth, Adam Scott, Ian Poulter, Jimmy Walker et al this year?

I know every driver is different for each, but based on your statement I must not be putting a good swing on it. Man cant wait to see what it does because I don't have any falling left or right at all. Dead straight or a slight fade that I like to play. You sure did not get a knockoff? If a true Titleist Ts3 it sounds like the shaft your testing is potentially to weak. I know I struggled with EPIC drivers and in the end it took a $300+ shaft to get that worked out (sadly).

_Edit: Swing Speed is 104-105 range. Blue plays a bit soft like a stiff plus, or so the Titleist premier fitter noted._
