I agree in terms of polos, but I find that Greyson runs 1/4-1/2 size larger than RLX for jackets/sweaters.

I had 30+ RLX shirts and now have 20+ Greyson. The RLX come in 2 fits, “Active” and “slim”. Greyson shirts fit between those 2. I found the Active fit RLX shirts to be looser than I like (similar to peter millar or foot joy). The RLX slim is a bit too snug for my dad bod. Greyson are styled more like slim fit shirts but they are not tight like the slim RLX. I hope this helps.

  • 11 months later...

old thread here but with the current sale I wanna make sure I dont make a huge mistake cuz I need a lot of new polos....

Im 5'10" and athletic 170lbs. Generally fluctuate between S or M in everything. Lululemon polos I wear a M. Adidas or Puma polos I have a S..... According to Greyson's website it says the chest in Small is 35"-38" . Medium chest is 38" - 42" . I know darn well im not a 40"+ chest. Im 38. If they run slightly larger than what it sounds like I guess im a S??

Id rather my polos be fitted but definitely not skin tight. Some of the FootJoy polos I have are S but even then they're huge!

Thanks

I'm 6'0 190ish and I wear M in Greyson, and I wore M even when heavier before dropping weight in the last year. IMO they fit slightly snug but not stupid small. What you describe about Footjoy in Small is exactly how I feel in Footjoy Mediums, just swimming in them. I'd think you could get away with a Small, but I'd try one or two first. But when you get it figured out they're great shirts, my favorite out there.

Thanks guys.. Dunno if this helps either but I wear a Medium in both Modern fit and Slim fit in regular Polo Ralph Lauren (not RLX). The slim fit me perfectly, the modern has fitted sleeves but a more boxy appearance in the torso. When I look at RLX polos at PGA store I think I would be a Small in those

Pretty tough here. seems like they will be slightly too tight or just too big. I dont really like buying larger and trying to shrink them, usually ruins the whole look and fit

ive got 5 polos in cart right now, with the discount its $246.... I guess worst comes to worst if I order the Small and they dont fit could probably sell each one here brand new for $40each

I bought a couple of Greyson polos last week

I’m 6’1” and 195lbs. i wear a large in RLX slim fit and G/Fore. I wear a Medium in Peter Millar (which still feels a bit baggies than I’d ideally like).

I ordered size large from Greyson and they’re huge. Unwearable. I’m going to try the medium, but not sure these are going to work even in a smaller size. Much boxier cut than I was expecting.

I know the sale is over but I'll still throw in my experience in case it helps someone for the future. I am 6-1, 160, lean like a distance runner or soccer player. I wear a medium in nearly every casual t-shirt and polo on the planet. But I find that most golf polos run a size big. For Adidas, Nike, Puma, and most Under Armour I go down to a small. For a Euro brand like J.Lindeberg I mostly go with a medium.

I am particular about the sleeve fit. I prefer more fitted and hate when I put on a shirt that makes me look like Bubba Watson with the flaring floppy sleeves.

For my first Greyson order last year I grabbed both a medium and small to compare. I wound up keeping the small. It's a smidge narrow in the shoulders, but I like the body and the arms fit better. The narrowness doesn't affect my swing, and I don't notice it when playing honestly, because the material has plenty of stretch. I could have done the medium, but the sleeves were not tapered to my liking at all.

Good for me, bad for you but the Small fit perfect. Keeping them all. Absolutely love the feel.

I asked the question a little over a week ago but to update...I am 5'10" 170lbs lean/athletic build. The Small is a perfect fit. Good length that can be worn either untucked or tucked, looks better tucked in. Sleeve length is about midway down to biceps. Plenty of room in the chest/shoulder area. Im blown away by the feel and quality of the shirts

and whoever does the online sizing chart at Greyson needs to be fired lol. That chart is so off! I have a 39" chest (Greyson recommends 35 - 38 for a small) and this Small has more room in the chest/shoulder area than Adias and Puma in a Small. Like someone mentioned above I do find golf polos to run larger but I understand why.

Ive never owned a Greyson polo before last week, but with the sale and knowing how perfect the fit is for me, I wish I would have bought 10 polos

You’re right about the sizing on the website. Medium is 38-42. That’s typically small to large in most brands. 3 different sizes is the best they can narrow it down to. How any online clothing retailer can’t give you exact measurements for each garment is crazy to me. It would really cut down the amount of orders that get returned.
