Hard to argue with that. She's won the tough majors, and the shootouts. She's definitely capable of going low. Her length is a real asset. She can also grind it out when needed. She didn't have her best today, but good enough for the win.

Picked Nelly (3rd) last week, Danielle (2nd) this week so if the trend continues I'm money next week. Did you know that Daniela Darquea was from Ecuador? After the 20th mention it slowly started to sink in. Love having Judy back and Tom Abbott's dry sense of humor has been growing on me lately. Good win by S.H. Park.

I don't care how many Majors the others have, SHP is the only player on the LPGA tour who displays the heart of a champion.

I dunno. Inbee is a short hitter, has dealt with injuries, and has enough of a resume to have called it quits a few years ago. Yet she's still out there in the thick of things. She also has that Olympic gold medal sitting in a nice display case on her desk.

Agreed. Inbee is an all time great and still threatens in many of the tournaments she chooses to play.

Wooo Pig Sooie WRX'ers.

Congrats to SHP. She never seemed to hit her straps entirely in this one, but was still good enough to win. Plenty of interest from the supporting cast. This birdiefest was fun.

I want to mention the underachievement of Carlota Ciganda. It seems to me that her own routine destroys her mojo. What's this addressing the ball, then stepping away and starting the address process over? The first time I saw it I thought it was indecision on her shot choice, but I now see that it is just part of her routine. It seems to be a useless and annoying process that saps the energy out of her (and thousands of fans!). I find that i want her to win, because she deserves it, but another part of me is so irked by her slow play.

My uneducated comment was based on personal observation of competitive heart, not accomplishment resume. It just seems to me that many LPGA players shrink from the moment. They crumble in the face of competitive pressure. Honestly, Aryia plays like she'd rather be somewhere else. But, SHP is a different story. When she gets a sniff of the finish like, she bolts up the leaderboard. There's something Tigeresque in her ability to finish. Unfortunately, her putting stroke is severely compromised, and she doesn't have the ability to will the ball into the hole that great champions have. Nonetheless, she's the only LPGA player I enjoy following.

Don't let Inbee's mild manner fool you. She's the real silent assassin.

Plenty of players went out and shot three rounds in the 60's, and yet finished way down on the leaderboard. Does one walk away disappointed, or happy that one's game is solid? It was definitely a good warm-up for Thornberry this week.
