My scoring has been the best it's ever been this year. I gonna hate to put the clubs away.

I've achieved and for the first time over a whole season maintained the lowest handicap I've ever achieved in a consistent fashion this year mostly because of some things at Monte's clinic in June that are big for me. Still didn't practice like I should have this summer and on my third cortisone shot in my left elbow since about Thanksgiving last year so you'd think things wouldn't have been that good, but although I've had some predictable rough patches, I've had some really good rounds of golf. I'm in no pain (it will return in 4-6 weeks), playing less lately and scores not suffering and don't have that desperate feeling that my season is running out and will I still "have it" come spring like I usually have. My elbow is getting a lot of rest and needs it even if I don't feel anything. Just had my little setter out Friday for some game farm pheasants and his game is sort of spring training stages, but really solid for start of only his second pheasant season, and my attention is really on that and (don't anyone tell my wife I've written this down) some needed stuff done in and out of the house before Thanksgiving.

So although I'd usually be out there until the snow flies, this year I'm pretty much almost out - we have a chance of snow and are skipping the 30s and heading straight an early fall overnight of 29 in a few days, lol.

I might have to skip the occasional weekend if it's particularly bad or if (hopefully not) we get snow. But otherwise I just add another layer (waterproof) and stick hedgehogs on my trolley.

Same here except I might need long pants and sleeves. BTW, what does an endangered small mammal do for your golf cart?

Only thing I could think of is this:

/no animals were harmed during the filming of this video

Lol!

Probably nothing whatsoever but there are times when trolleys without them aren't allowed on the course.

https://www.nationalclubgolfer.com/news/hedgehog-winter-trolley-wheels/

Only thing I've noticed is that at one course there are wood chips on some of the paths and my hedgehog wheels throw the chips in the air and leave an obvious mark where damper chips are exposed to the air. It doesn't inspire confidence in their supposed protective qualities.

But I treat them like a seasonal dress code requirement :)

I'm out? Those words are not very macho!

I'm at round 133 in Michigan. Today will be round 134. I'm not stopping until I hit 150, as 150 is rather macho sounding number.

I've been playing less and less over the past 3-4 years and my swing is suffering as result. Gone from a scratch/+ to about a 12-14 handicapper but I've recently gotten the itch again. Rejoined my former club and looking to playing/practicing all winter as long as the snow holds out. I actually couldn't be more excited for the "off" season in my neck of the woods.

One advantage of living in the UK is that you can play all year around even if you live up north where life's grim. I intend to play all through the winter, not missing any golf regardless of how bad the weather gets and even if we get snow (unless of course they actually close the course). We won't be adding much in the way of extra layers unlike our soft southern counterparts and our fine and rather sparsely populated courses will continue to meet all our needs.
