New Odyssey Stroke Lab putters

My double wide flow is 35”. Toulon pistol grip. I’ve heard others comment theirs felt light. Each time I ask someone to try mine they say it feels a bit heavy ( mostly in the head). Just feels right to me. Loving mine.

I'm sure they adjust the putters for the different lengths or they wouldn't all have a similar feel.

Then they must do it with different weights in the butt of the shaft. All head weights are the same.

I can not get used to mine. It's going to be sold.

One thing to keep in mind is that the Stroke Lab putters are counterbalanced, so they have a lighter feel to them, though they aren't actually that light. I have a 34.5" #7 S and the overall weight of mine is heavier than expected, but if feels much lighter than that when swinging. I love it, though. It feels as smooth as a hot knife through butter.

So no one on here has tried the R Ball and is put off by the clink sound at impact? I have tried multiple heads and guess it is just part of the design. Have a hard time believing any of their staff would use this putter with the awful sound. I love the shape and the alignment but I'm afraid as soon as I have the one bad putting round with it, I'm going to ditch it due to the sound as my excuse. I did get some dense foam and shove into the cavity in the back but the sound is still bad.

Have you tried a softer ball?

Finally got the chance to roll the 7 and 7s last night on a small indoor putting green. I have a slight arc and thought I would prefer the 7s, but one thing had me thrown off. When you set the 7s head on the ground, the putter turns outward. So I had to then straighten the face as I took my grip to putt. I’ve never had that experience with a putter before. Any more opinions on the 7 vs 7s now that they have been out for a bit?

I agree. I did not like the sound of the rball but chose the Tuttle because of the solid feel and great sound and great alignment feature.

It’s the only reason I haven’t bought one yet I love the alignment but anytime you miss the center of the face the sound is just too much.

Anyone get into weight changes? Are there third party kits that we can use?

try the Toulon Las Vegas H7, it sits perfectly lined up. Costs quite a bit more but the feel is also consistent across the face due to diamond milling

Odyssey sells a weight kit to decrease or increase your head weight.

I am gaming at SL 7 34", i changed out the grip and replaced it with the Gravity Grip. It was a little light, so I put the heavier head weights in and this thing is awesome! Love the feel of it

My SEVEN is probably the smoothest putter I've owned to date. my Scotty Newport is on the bench for now.

Did you feel any difference with the SS being about 10g lighter?

I bought a #7 at 34" and would like to extend it to 35".

What would happen to the feel if I removed the weight extended the shaft one inch and put the original grip back on without the weight ?

By changing the grip I actually think it has better feel. I will t removing the grip is not a bit different as the stock grip is tougher to get off. Overall I would not hesitate to put on any grip like.  I personally think the stock grip is junk.
