Nike Golf Sleeves

I really don't like long sleeve shirts and saw this in golf galaxy.

 

Just wondering if anyone has used these. Concerned they may not stay on arms well or cut of circulation if to tight!

 

Any opinions would be helpful!!

Love mine--they leave a little bit of a mark on my upper arm, but not enough to make them uncomfortable. I've had these since the first iteration came out and can't see getting rid of them.

There are two versions (one for warmth, and one for UV protection). I used the UV protection sleeves in Thailand. It took a little bit in getting used to as they are snug, but not tight enough to limit flexibility.

I have both the white and black sleeves........living in Tampa, they help take the chill off in the winter without a jacket.

I bought a pair of black (warmth) a couple seasons ago. I think I've used them a total of once. I could see them being a good thing in AZ were the dessert is still cool in the AM, but heats up rather fast.

They work great. A lot of my rain and wind jackets are 3/4 sleeves, so they work perfect for me.

I was almost tempted to buy a pair on more than one occaision but I actually prefer wearing a long-sleeve compression shirt. If fact at their price point, I'd rather buy another shirt (ross/nike clearance stores are your friend)

For the owners who have been using them for some time.....how do the hold up?

I'm worried they may stretch some so not sure about sizing.

I have used them for years; although I have 4 colors, I typically use the black 80% of the time; the black sleeves are now several years old, and still work like new; they are not too tight, but if you are a hard swinger, they will tend to slip down every few holes; I only have used the thermal ones, never the UV ones; like you, I detest long sleeves and these really are a perfect remedy, adding a little warmth without the bulk of a jacket

I love mine. I've had them for several years and actually just used them for the first time this year, I loved having something on my arms without having to go a long sleeved shirt.

But I don't know which version the are.

I've had mine for 2 years. I use them sparingly. They tend to slip down after a few holes, but nothing that is too dramatic. I don't find a use for them very often up here in the PNW. It's either cold enough to wear real sleeves (or a jacket) or not. Plus, mine have a design with some blocks (stripes?) from the elbow to the wrist. I know I can't see it... but it still bothers me (wow, typing that makes me sound very uptight). I'd prefer if they were plain white.

I have the black thermal ones. Used to use them when I played football in college and now I use them on the course on days that are a little cool. I wear my black nike vest, a shirt, and my sleeves. looks good but still gives you a little ventilation. Also great on those rounds where temps will start in the low 50s than reach the 60s by the end of the round

I have a couple of prs of the Thermal sleeves. I love them this time of year.

I picked up a pair of the solar sleeves last year but have yet to wear them.

I have 2 pairs, and love them. I keep them in my bag. Its great for a cool/cold morning, and as it warms up to remove them. I find them very comfortable. I have never liked playing in jackets, feels like my movement is restricted, so these are perfect.

for warmth, I use defeet armskins... they have been making these for a long time for cycling, and are better at not falling down

Use mine for warmth, especially in the spring early summer where if you tee off at 7am it's a little cool, but by the turn it's warm enough you don't wear sleeves any more.

Just purchased a pair of black sleeves.

Will try them out this weekend and report back. They felt good when I tried on for size!

Been a baseball player my whole life and got used to wearing arm sleeves so I'd say they'd work great for golf too but for some reason I can't get over thinking that sleeves that go down to your wrist make you look like a basketball player, just an aesthetics thing for me.

I have used the UV Solar ones in white for about 9 months. honestly I never golf without them. They are a sunburn savior. They fit perfectly for me and I have big arms. The white ones look dirty easily. so I suggest you get them in another color. when brand new, they would be stunningly white and possibly give your a confidence booth or may be a distraction hah.

The band on the top of the arm fits nicely, doesn't chafe or roll down often for me. I think they are a must for the Californian or anywhere where the season is super sunny. They help keep my arm within 10 shades of tan of my covered arm instead of 30 shades without them heh.

+1. I don't find them as useful this time of year.

Any runners on here? I just use my running sleeves and they work like a charm while being a bit less expensive (runningwarehouse.com).

Played this past weekend.
Used sleeves on Sat and they worked great. Got to course and it was chilly. Put sleeves on with sleeveless pullover windbreaker. Felt very comfortable and played that way until hole 4. Started getting hot so I removed the pullover and kept the sleeves on. On hole 8 I removed sleeves.

Played with just a short sleeve shirt until hole 17. Got chilly and put sleeves back on to finish round.

They are a great addition to my layering for winter. Worth the $$$!
