My afternoon classes watched the game on the big screen while we plugged away at some left over work. One of my highest achievers thanked me profusely for giving him a change to watch the game live.

so....about the game.

As i suspected they might, my company (a large, multi billion dollar company) dismissed us for the length of the game today. I mean managers were expected to have their phones and be available. But they essentially said, OK we're shutting down until the game is over.

We put up a big screen in our auditorium and everyone watched the game together, including out top management

was really cool.

Years ago in the late 90's my son played Rep Atom hockey and the there was one girl on the team who was tiny but could skate and play. She wore a onesy under her gear and it read "Canadian Girls Rock"

 

Every four years I think of her.

 

A great couple of days to be Canadian, two dominant Gold medals in my second favourite sport Curling and both the men and women beat the US in Hockey.

 

One more win for the men against Sweden and all will be well in the universe.

thats a bad trade, unless we're getting a draft pick later on. Rob Ford is worth more then Bieber. Ford is a national embarrassment, but at least he's a funny embarrassment.
