Just had to post how good these irons are now I've had a couple of weeks gaming them. First off I have to applaud the custom guys here in the uk all LLL were spot on which I didn't expect following some of the posts on here. I ordered mine with dg pro s300 shafts +1" and 2* upright with 2 wraps of tape plus an extra wrap under the right hand!! The feel off these clubs is different to what you expect from a forged offering but by no means in a bad way. They still feel soft but powerful at the same time. No problems working the ball or controlling the flight. I was concerned the short irons might look a bit 'clunky' with these being more of a GI club but they sit really nice behind the ball and the long irons are the best I've ever hit. Fill you with confidence but still with the look of a slightly oversized players iron. If they made a 2 iron I'd go as far as to say I'd retire the hybrids! 4 iron carry = 220 yds, titleist 910h 19* carry = 230yds!! This is the first set of nike irons to make it into the bag and I can see them staying a while, especially as they beat ap2, TM TP CB, i25 and a few mizuno sets to get there!

The VR_S forged original model is said to have been forged by Endo either in their Japanese or Thailand factory. Do we know if the Covert Forged is a product of Endo forging or not?

Uh oh! Didn't know that the Endo topic was a disaster waiting to happen. Instead of China I meant Thailand in my original post. I know Endo has a factory in Thailand and the heads of the original VR_S Forged were designated as being made in Thailand.

Nike & Endo forgings is a touchy subject here.

I would think the answer would be a simple "yes" or "no". No reason for it to be a question that is a source of contention. Not trying to take away anything from a great Japanese company such as Endo.

There is absolutely nothing touchy about this subject.

ALL Nike forgings are done by Endo. Period.

Now there were some proto irons that were rumored to be Muira but that is 100% UNTRUE per Tom Stites at Nike.

A week ago I called about getting a CF 3 iron to fill in my VRS Forged set (no 3 irons left in that set). They said they had minimal qtys left of the 3 iron. I didn't ask about the full set though.

Custom orders seem hard to fill. My pro told me Nike says they are running out of heads and probably not ordering more.

Ad far as mine, i Love them. Long, straight, high ball flight. They have also gotten some interest from a few guys at my club who cant believe the feel and distance.

2 weeks ago. It took 10 days. If you ordering from someone in person, ask them to confirm with Nike that they have the heads. If they do it shouldnt be a problem

Good luck keeping these bad boys low. Even my 4 iron goes high, but not in a bad way. I have been going over tree tops that I never could fly over before. Its awesome- hit it far and land it soft.

I called Nike today to confirm my order and the rep said there was a shortage of nike grips, not heads as someone previously was told. Since I got a different grip there is no delay and my set is supposed to ship late next week, approximately 8 days after the order date. Very excited.

I second this, never hit it so high, but it's kind of beautiful on low wind days. I find I can flight them a bit if needed, but the Nippons are smoooooooth.

These irons are certified legit and extremely pleasant to look at a forgiving. Such an awesome little package and the feel is great.

I also got these on here after wanting the Apex. and I must say I love them, I really, really love the ball flight, I just hit them with a baby fade, mid to high which is penetrating. The ball fizzes off the club face, all in all a really terrific set of irons.

I bought my set 5-AW because I already had 3 and 4 hybrids. The 5 iron is sooo easy to hit that I'm considering picking up a 4 iron and ditching the 4 hybrid.
