so.....anybody going to bend a 3i to a 2i loft?

i got a S56 2i to go with my S56 set and love it, now i need a nike 2i to finish of the bag with the blades. this looks like a good option as a true blade 2i seems a bit much. :)

No LH ? Classic.
Nike is coming out with the 2014 Pro Combo's in LH, so maybe the VRS forged will release in LH as well.

Loved the VR Pro Combo set and was excited in 2013 when I heard about the new Pro Combo line. But being LH has it's disadvantages as the new PCs weren't released to us lefties.

Are there plans to expand the LH line in irons/putters?

Also, do you see Nike golf giving the average golfer more custom options as far as irons go? I.e. 3-PW in split cavity, etc.

Thanks!

+1 million. Covert forged in left handed would be amazing. Make it happen Nike!!

In all seriousness, I've been madly jealous of those who bag these and even the previous model. I just want to swing it once, left handed. Who am I kidding, if these are out in lefty they will be in the bag!

I spent some time with these yesterday shafted with the DG Pros and they are excellent. The Golfsmith launch monitor was definitely juiced (I don't hit 7 iron 190 yards) so I won't quote numbers but the subjective aspects of this club are all solid. Feel, forgiveness, looks... they really have it all. I was fairly set on the 825 Pros as my next set of irons, but now I'm not so sure...

I agree with you. These irons are not for the purists but they hit a home run for me in every category. Decisions decisions....

Now I am thinking I should have gotten these instead of my AP2's! I too am not used to hitting my 7 iron that far, which is a good thing.

These irons are great, even way better looking than last years version.

Damn, this thread and the nice photos and reviews in it. Ha..

Anyone know what the upgraded shaft options are for these irons?
I'm not sure on all options but the DG Pro has no upcharge.

Check the Nike catalog, all options are there:

Didnt read through the thread yet but wanted to throw my $0.02

Hit them yesterday.... wow! Just wow!!!!

First these were a friends demo, Stock NSpro 95 S flex (Stock LLL). I hit a couple of shots NOT on a launch monitor but on the course...

hit 2 pitching wedges and 2 8irons.

I will say I chunked the first Wedge and the second was a beauty, high ball flight, I did "Draw/Hook it a little" but it was long about 10yards longer.

The 8irons though.....Hit 2 beauties, 155yards out laser confirmed, it was slightly down hill though but into the wind. I hit my Mizuno's 8 irons came up short right towards the bunker but pin high so distance was good. The NIKEs.......... HIt it high draw over the flag within 20ft past the pin (2shots). I will say I figured the yardage for 145-150max with the down hill but I hit the Nike's a good 5 yards past the hole. so 160 8iron and if realistically maybe 155. I NEVER have hit an 8 iron that far usually my 145 club and 150max if I am swinging out of my shoes and crap pants.

The feel was just as smooth and nice as my mizunos, the flight was higher for sure and it did feel a little "hotter" but all in all a pretty damn nice set.

For comparison sake though.....Mizuno's .25" shorter and 1* less loft. my Mizunos are also flat 2*.

So if you are looking for a "GI/players cavity" club I wouldnt pass it...I would give a couple or rips at it.....not bad my friends not bad....

I actually made a foray into callaway for a few months last year, (still kept all my Nike Equipment though) Razr Xtreme, Xhot pro etc, ,,,,all that is now sold!!!...didn't get on with it at all, great gear but not for me, then went back to my Nikes, Covert 1.0, dr, f/way hyb, and vrs forged irons, and it felt so much better, then these irons, from address the visible back hase gone on the 4, 5, and not quite so much the 6, but gone it is, just as Nike say, they are half a club longer for me than the VRS forged, just a real good solid, long, and easy to hit iron, Nike have made some really good gear this year, along with these the standard Covert irons are not so ugly and the Covert 2.0 woods are great,....havnt tried the wedges yet,( they will have to be good to get my VR forged out)...so all in all ....well done to Nike....YOU LISTENED.

I have them and I can almost guarantee that if people try them they will like them. I was blown away when I demoed them. I took my 6/7 iron to hit against them for a fair comparison. The sim said I was hitting the 6 iron on the CF irons 190 carry, 205 total, which is complete BS, a real solid 6 iron for me is 180. But when I hit my irons against these I was consistently 10 yards longer carry. I know the CF irons lofts are stronger, but only 2 deg over my irons.

I got the CF with the KBS tours, nice mid/high ball flight, fantastic feel. For me, the biggest selling point was no matter how I swung the clubs, I got a very straight ball flight, maybe a little draw, even if I swung all out.

I cannot say enough good things about these irons, in every aspect I was impressed, and the more I hit them the happier I am that I got them.

It isn't the forged vs. cast debate or blades vs. cb's that is wrong with GolfWRX. IT'S THREADS LIKE THESE THAT MAKE WE WANT TO GET NEW IRONS!!!

For those that have hit both the forged and cast models of this iron, how do they compare in terms of feel, distance, forgiveness, dispersion, etc?? The comment about the forged vs cast debate made me think about it. I think both irons look awesome.

For those of you torn between these and the 2014 pro combos, wait until you see the set that I have coming next week from a special place...

When I hit these at the PGA demo day I knew I needed to find a place somewhere in my bag...

Uh oh.... This sounds like it could be trouble.

Hey guys. Went into the store today with these irons in my mind to hit as well as the 714 ap2 I can tell you. These irons felt amazing. Soft on the hits and went far. I was hitting the 7 iron approx 185 average and then I boomed a couple close to 200. Standard with the ds pro r300 shaft. Clubs feel amazing. I then hit the ap2 and I currently have the 710 ap2 and honestly I didn't have the feel with them as I did with my 710s. I currently have the tt dynamic gold s300. They felt so good with the dg pro r300 can anyone tell me the biggest difference between the two? And also I didn't care for the grips I would get tour velvet when ordering

Actually the traditional lofts on the PC's won't allow a straight combo set. There has to be overlap...

That is all that I can divulge at the moment...lol
