Maybe it's the honeymoon phase but I putted really well Sunday. I missed a shorty for par on the first hole but after that I putted really well. Zero 3 putts which was great and made 3 birdies that weren't kick ins. I missed a few others but it wasn't because of the stroke. The heavy head feels good to me and I'm gonna stick with the standard pistol grip. As much as I like the feel of the SuperStrokes I've come to realize for whatever reason I tend to miss a lot of short putts when I put one on. Kinda glad they didn't have the Fang Marxman I was wanting .

After much deliberation and about 10 trips to the PGASS I finally bought my First Scotty. A 2016 Newport 2! I wasn't sold on the inserts, but after rolling them back to back a great many times I am very happy with my choice.

They are nice. I have the Newport 2015 model. I tried them side by side and I just couldn't justify the $140 difference in trade. I would say I liked the new one a little bit more, but not that much more. Plus I like a naked putter so I decided to pass. They are gorgeous and sound feel great! Hope you knock them down from everywhere!

My first Scotty Newport. Got it a couple weeks ago from a wrx'er and finally gamed it on some crazy fast greens over the weekend. Loved it. Really enjoyed not having a sight line. Took away the distraction and made it more natural. Great distance control and overall just loved it. I put a 11" mid matador on it and it just fits my game.

As some of you know, I love the old school stuff and just had this beauty arrive today. It is on the cover of the 'Art of Putters' book and is in the rare Black Star finish. More pics and the COA when the weather improves here in Sydney.

2013 SC Monterey and a SC Circa 62 that I am going to refinish.

 

The Monterey was the first putter I spent any actual money on and I ended up getting rid of it. Have regretted it since. Glad to have one back.

 

The Circa 62 I saw on here for the first time and fell in love with the finish and old school yellow race stripe look. Can't wait to get it and start the process.
