Huge fan of the Silver color period, but would love it with FCT before bonded.

Irons look great! To bad the timing for the SLDR Gaurantee was just off otherwise I would have been able to hit these since I has a few people go nuts that I was playing Burner 2.0's and wanted to see me in something else. There was a quick mention of these irons, but no details.

I am also very interested in the KBS Tour C Taper 90 shaft in these. I am currently testing the C Taper Lite's in a back up Burner 2.0 7 iron and it has been great, but it was barely lighter then my main Burner 2.0 7 iron with the standard KBS Tour by 3 grams and I thought it would have been about 15 grams. I "know" that these shafts will be much lighter then the standard KBS Tours. Interested in seeing the specs on this shaft. KBS's answer to the PX 90 I see.

Irons don't really peak my interest.... but I might have to throw one of those bonded drivers on a launch monitor now.... dang.

I DEFinitely want to try these irons. I've had a hard time ridding my bag of my R11 irons. My concerns are the same as everyone else. Will the reduced spin effect the stopping power on the green? Also, I want the added distance, but not at the expense of consistency.

I don't care about all of TMaG's releases. They are in business to make money. There are a lot of people in the market to please. As much as a lot of us like to be equipment Ho's/Junkies, the market today gives us plenty of options to choose from. If it weren't for new releases, I would have never found Honey Nut Cheerios....I mean, no one could eat regular cheerios for the rest of their life could they? LOL! I digress. My point is, I've tried the Apex and I like them....I've tried the TP CB and I liked them....however I haven't liked them enough to switch. That's the beauty of an open market. New products come out and you get the choice to like them or not. We vote with our wallets......some more than others.
With that said, I really want to try the SLDR irons and I hope they can replace my R11s with that sweetness of honey!

I just got an email from Golfsmith that Nike informed them that the Covert Forged 2.0 are no longer available unless ordered stock. No custom orders. Sounds weird, no? I ordered them 1 up with the DG Pro's. May wait for these.

The TM's will be available in June?

Hmm? We have a Nike demo day here Friday. I'll check then. Strange as it might sound...our big-box store Golf Town doesn't carry Nike irons, and are not available on-line.

Color looks to me to be the original Adams XTD silver. Hopefully, there aren't any weights that can fly out if these.

i would buy the sldr s driver but taylor made custom shaft option on it is by far the worst thing i have ever dealt with for golf.

I'm pretty pumped about this release, mostly because it means I can get the original SLDR (that I was fit for) for cheaper.

I don't have to hate on TaylorMade's product cycles, because I can just take advantage of getting good gear for less money.

I cant wait to hit these irons! I have been looking for a set to replace my Hogan apex anniversary addition but every year when i go to Carls and compare all the new models my apex wins out on the range. Every time i tell people what i play they always say id be better off switching but for some reason it never happens on the range. Plus the feel of my hogan's are incredible and its really easy to tell when im doing something wrong. Hoping these new SLDR will be the one, they look awesome! shocked me i normally dont like TM's looks on irons

saw the driver, 3-wood and hybrid at GG today; the driver feels much better weight-wise than the adjustable shaft SLDR; the 3-wood and hybrid look outstanding, and the 3-wood is VERY low profile, which I prefer for FWs

the SLDR S glued is supposed to be even lower spin than the OG SLDR

may have to test one of the S's out ... guessing the stock 57 Speeder will be a POS ....

Saw the irons yesterday with our local rep and they looked better than expected. Nice and clean with the chrome and the C-Taper Lites were certainly a nice touch. Makes it feel more like a solid set in the lineup rather than another nickle and dime set.

TP shafts are not available as the tip is .350". You can do the stock Speeder in the original SLDR.

Crazy to think that the S version is even lower than the OG. Don't need that for my driver but might check out the 3 wood.

Funny all of the old R11 guys drooling over these. After having R11 irons myself in the past, I can see why. Would be a very easy transition.

I don't think we will be seeing the original SLDR drop in price. I see the SLDR S as being more of their. GI offering. I know it's a good 2 SW points lighter

I think those are some of the best looking irons Taylormade have produced in a long time. Great stuff TMAG.
