Nicknames vs. No Nicknames.

Reminds me of the biggest debate of the 1970's. Great Taste. Less Filling.

You know one brief commercial for Miller they did took 99 takes. They were simply walking along talking. To funny.

They were probably sipping Lite beer along the way, which makes sense, given that it takes approximately 99 sips of the stuff to get any buzz.

I didn't understand the whole nickname thing (the controversy). It doesn't exclude anyone....and as long as I have my constantly updated cheat sheet with me I can more or less keep up.

More golf, more fun, more laughing...less angst.

And for the record...the holes-in-one might have earned King Kang her nickname.... :taunt:

I don't mind King Kang.
The litmus test whether a nickname sticks is if members adopt it....it's that simple.

Hmmm.....the commentators at Fubon said SYR's nickname is KangaROO.
And I think Heo, who won on the KLPGA this week...is HUSH.

So it seems it's not just we immature WRX fanboys who employ nicknames. :taunt:

I started reading LPGA threads six months ago, maybe a little more. People were using these nicknames. Everybody seemed to enjoy it.
Nobody was complaining. They're not that hard to figure out if you put forth a bit of effort There's is now a listing in the beginning of this thread
for reference.

As I said, this has been going on for quite a while and everybody seemed to think it was kind of fun.

Then, couple of weeks ago, we start getting complaints. Seriously. Complaints about using nicknames. As though we are exclusive thread oppressors
and are denying others the opportunity to participate.

According to the LPGA Communications Chief, the Commish is a fan of nicknames.

I keep in touch with one of the senior LPGA execs. They're very aware of our threads and they appreciate all the positive. They think some of the nicknames are really funny and they get why certain individuals have earned certain monikers.
