I would say so, even more tech in the Vapor PC than the VR Pro line.

Happily got this 4-6 irons and can get even better confidence in those irons, more than what a blade can offer me.

Wow! The soles on the VPC are HUGE! Definitely larger than I would have expected. Look similar to the CF.

Lesmond, could you comment on why you mixed up the set the way you did? I'm thinking about doing something similar. But was thinking 4-7 VPC and 8-P VP.

I finally got to hit the Speeds. I have to say I was not that impressed. The hollow cavity felt just that. Hollow. And dead. It was easy to hit and went pretty much where you needed it to, but it was merely "meh" to me.

I thought the same thing, but I think the super close up probably has a bit to do with that as well. The size difference was big in the 4 irons, but not so much in the 6. For a combo set, that seems to make sense.

Anyone know when demo irons are hitting shops? Sets got released but demo's aren't even out yet. Makes no sense and not very good for supporting the retailer to sell sets.

Hit the 5 iron off the Launch Monitor earlier and I think I got 2-3 yards more than my MMProto 5 iron.

 

Thin shots were helped by the RZN cavity. Will take side by side photos in a bit.

You have to stop! These are beautiful, and I don't need new irons.

When I stopped at Golfsmith, they had no idea when they would receive any kind of demos. At TGW, they let me hit the Vapor Pro's, VPC and the Speeds right off the rack.

Isn't the MM proto the same as the new blades? And aren't those almost the same in the 6 iron sole picture? Aren't those supposed to be the easiest to hit blades to hit the market? I think your assessment of the photo is off.

Never held an MM Proto, so my assessment may be off in your words. But I know the PC isn't a very wide sole.

The VPC is much wider than the previous line. I still think the new VPC is closer to the AP2 line than the 714CB (if we're using Titleist as an example). They are much easier to hit than the old Pro Combo and are not as "blade-like" as the previous. I posted some comparison pictures on here a few pages back that show a pretty accurate representation of the soles and address.

Ordered from from the big box golf store down the street from me, Golfmart Super Store!

I got mine today! Nike Vapor PC, 5-PW with UST Recoil 110s. Grips were shipped loose in the box but are the Tour Velvets with volt swoosh and "lines" near the cap and bottom. Still trying to decide what grips I want to put on them.

I plan on taking some pictures of the clubs and also some size comparison shots next to my AP2s.

I suck with the 4-6 irons, decent with the 7-PW.

Needed that EXTRA forgiveness in those irons, simple as that for me.

Nope......ever so slightly larger. ....VPC have an AP2 size to them....top line thinner by a smidge....the VPC are nice but longer heel to toe than pro and soles wider.....they also have the beveled leading edge.

I just assumed it was the same in the 8-PW since it has a muscle cavity. I have seen the irons in person but never bothered to look at the short irons in the Pro Combo.

I just hit all 3 irons with a 6 iron.
