Got a call from Justin at CG yesterday letting me know my clubs came in and wanted to confirm the changes. He said they cant make my Epic look exactly like the one in the link (since it was a UDesign), but they would matte black as much as they could and keep the carbon look.

 

I also sent them my O Works #7, asked them to matte black the white off the center but keep the red alignment dots and wing lines. Theyre going to black out the shaft too.

 

Looking forward to getting these back and gaming them next year.

I am shipping in my 3 Epic heads today for an off season redo.

 

I am on the fence about matte black or eggshell, doing top and bottoms.

 

Driver, SZ 3+, and 3H all going in for the treatment.

Planning to send a Nike Tour 3 wood in to get the Volt replaces with something more discreet. Anyone does something like that before? What color combos might go well? Silver, Grey or Black?

They quoted me 2-3 weeks based on shipping speed when I talked to them yesterday.

I am OVER THE MOON with how good this putter came out. First time using Continental for refinishing and I have to say I am very impressed... I sent them a head in crap condition with rusting and pitting all over it and got these pictures back today.

 

Continental Golf, you're going to make my father-in-law a very happy man this Christmas.

I'm a terrible golfer who has a tendency to get steep leading to idiot marks on my fairways and hybrids. If I send them to get refinished, is there an option to put something a little more durable on top?

A thin strip of Ghost Tape placed over the edge of the top line can be your friend. Doesn't bother me at address. I've also had Continental strip the paint off of the crown leaving a satin metal finish. By far my favourite look.

 

I'm not prone to high face shots (as my miss is low and heel side) but like the peace of mind.

Just shipped my Nike Vapor Speed 3W to them to de-volt, and make it all black. Can't wait to see the results. Of course, will post pics but might be a few weeks till I get it back.

 

Might have to do more clubs if this turns out as well as I expect it, based on all the positive feedback here...

Here is a little JDM magic from the guys at Continental Golf. I had them refinish a S-Yard T.388 driver which I feel is one of the best looking drivers ever made.. They painted it in SLDR grey and blasted the sole and also added hotmelt to bring the headweight up to 198 grams. I can't get over how great it turned out!

1) Can this finish on the S Yard be applied to an M1 430 to give a uniform finish and hide the carbon fiber and the white section to look like this S yard, just a normal older style single material head?

 

2) (If #1 can not be done) Is there any pics of an M1/2 that is done in high gloss black for the whole crown? A high gloss black on the white crown front and high gloss black on the carbon section? I've found pics of a matte black just curious what high gloss black looks like if you have pic available.

We could paint it that color but the issue you would have is the fact you would have a line where it separates the carbon and metal, so it would all be the color you want just see the same break line going down the club. Feel free to PM me if you have further questions about the project.

Brown truck just delivered this O Works No. 7 Tank to my door. The factory paint was black and white on top with red alignment dots and lines (ugly). Justin and his boys painted the top a nice matte black with white lines and dots. I dropped off the putter while in Raleigh on business and got a very warm welcome and a tour. Recommend you stop by and say hello if you are in Raleigh. They have an interesting history and are very friendly.

I am pretty sure I saw those removed completely on one redo. I won't speak for them, but guessing they may be able to help.

My SLDR 430 is about ready to be sent for a refinishing. The medallion in the sole fell off long ago and no idea where it is. Do y’all have anything to go in it’s place when sent for a refinish?

I had them matte black two hybrids before the season this year, used them all season and it held up great... I would feel very confident in saying the same durability as oem if not better

Exactly the same experience.

 

I'd ask about an eggshell/satin finish if you are at all concerned.

I've looked through the last 10 pages or so, but is there anywhere to see all the different shades of black, grey, matte black/grey, gloss grey/black with metallic flake etc. on possibly 1 page or 2? I didn't see anything on your site about finishes offered.
