Continental Golf - Refinishing and More!

Justin, are the last few Scotty's you posted done with the finish you were telling me about? They look awesome! After my Mil-spec comes back I might be sending a Fastback for that finish...

Sorry for the lack of communication the last few days. It is, that finish is just so beautiful to me, thin and very durable. It really does just look so clean.

 

@Vietnameeh we dont im sorry about that, if you do anything it just strips that finish off and being anodized we don't have any way of putting it back on. All we could do is turn it to a blasted/brushed silver finish

 

@widespread that wouldnt be an issue if you just want to matte the club and retain the original colors. I don't have any pictures of us doing it that way but I know we have several times.

 

At the moment we are not stripping golf clubs, we would have to send the stripping out locally and its difficult trying to maintain timelines and expectations when we have to outsource part of what we do (chrome stripping). Sorry about that and I will let everyone know if something changes on that front.

Ohhhh, I'm glad I did a search for Continental Golf. I have a M1 that had what I describe as a "spider web" on the white portion of the crown. I tried to fix it myself, but it looks awful. It's not a skymark, and I suspect it's a crumple zone or something similar. Is this something you have seen in the past and will your paint more durable than the original?

I had the same problem deciding what finish to go with on my M1 430, thoughts of like 915 gloss black but ended up going to SLDR grey on the whole crown (carbon fiber too). Excited to see how it comes out.

 

Figured maybe a new look would keep me from perusing a new driver in 2018....hopefully.

How has the feel been affected on the deep milled face? That’s my only concern. I was thinking of sending them my Del Mar and doing that finish and translucent blue on the weights and dots on the back

That is awesome. Was thinking about a matte finish on the Epic SZ as well. May I ask how much it costs to refinish the Epic in matte?

Golf9596 Its the new armor finish we are doing. Its ultra thin but extremely durable and we are using this on most of our putters that are being painted at this time.

 

Tbone I personally just can't tell a difference but I know a lot of members here have had it done and I know BigBen will be glad to comment on it with his Toulon putter that he is getting back in the next day or two, I will shoot him a message to make sure he posts something about it.

 

Shacco It normally runs 50 dollars for that but we did a little more for his driver with the sole work.

I recently placed an order with them (albeit small) for some Ping adapters/weights. Justin personally called me to discuss a more cost effective shipping alternative to Canada. Saved me a few dollars, and he needn't have done it, but it went a long ways with me. That looks amazing.... The green sight lines remind me of Tru-Glow or Ameriglo green sights on firearms.

Thank you! This Cerakote is just the best it's thin, super smooth and has a deep rich finish. No wonder they use this ceramic based application on guns and weapons. I like the green as well it's tough to see it well in pics. I'm a big fan of extending siightlines all the way to the ball. For me it helps to connect and utilize the rear sightline more effectively. BB

Guys at Continental going berserk again. I thought it wasnt going to get better than the Toulon Indy they blacked out. Wrong!

 

Bought an old Kombi S that had a pretty good sized ding in the face. All I wanted was it fixed up so you couldnt see it from address, didnt care how it looked face on I just wanted it to look good at address. Its way better than I had hoped for - and I already knew how great their stuff was!

That is very reasonable. I wish I was in the US. Sending and especially receiving (customs) is a hassle here.
