I have 18 at Riverdale Dunes on Saturday morning and 18 at Heritage at Westmoor on Sunday morning. Room for a few spots at each tee time. I like to play early, so both are at 6:30am. Will try to replay Saturday and possibly play 36.

DTown, I'm in town this weekend and might have a chance for Sunday morning. Where exactly is Heritage at Westmoor located. We'll be staying south of the Tech Center and I don't know exactly how much time I'll have available, so driving distance might be a factor.

Heritage at Westmoor is up north, in Broomfield. From the Tech Center, it's 45 minutes. If you are staying south, it's probably closer to an hour drive. Would make for a very early morning given the tee time is at 6:30am.

Yeah. I have to agree with that. I'm an early riser but that's pushing it.

We're going to try Riverdale Dunes or Buffalo Run tomorrow after the auction. Does anyone know about conditions, ie snow or aerations?

Dunes is one of the top public courses in the state and Buffalo Run is a pretty straightforward but not spectacular public track. I'd take Dunes 10/10 times and twice on Sunday.

Yeah, I've heard great thing things about Dunes. Just haven't made it yet. I've played the front side at Buffalo. Mainly tomorrow is just a matter if either has punched greens or left over snow. If it's clear and we can get on, dunes is the first choice. Also, we're riders so we want to make sure carts are out (too wet here at home) and if they are that its not cart path only.

I have a couple buddies who are also in love with the Dunes....I think it is meh personally, it is flat and kinda boring, almost always super windy (in the afternoon when we play for cheap) if I want railroad ties I'd rather play Plum Creek despite them not taking great care of it the last few years.

My metro area list would be:

1.Bear Dance
2.Fossil Trace
3.Red Hawk

Leaving out the Ridge at Castle Pines and Arrowhead due to price, but if you can play them for under $85, then add them in there as well.

but courses I prefer over the Dunes are the Knolls (just kidding) South Suburban, Lone Tree, Heritage Eagle Bend, CO National, Broadlands, Fox Hollow, The Meadows, Green Valley Ranch, and maybe even Raccoon Creek.

If you want to add the whole state, Lakota Canyon, Pole Creek, Keystone River, Mariana Butte, Pelican Lakes, Cougar Canyon, Raven at Three Peaks.

But one of my personal favs around here is Evergreen (yes the one with the big rock) so please take anything I say with a grain of salt. But it has trees! and I grew up in the midwest so it might be a nostalgia thing for me.

Yes I know I am in the minority with the Dunes....It's the only course I've shot under 80 and over 100 on. The wind dictates my score on that course more than I do.

FWIW, Coal Creek re-opens on 6/29 according to the website. I kinda want to see what it's like now after the rebuild and under new management...

There is no way the course will be in ANY sort of shape to re-open by 6/29. They are still growing grass at this point. I wouldn't even think it will be worthwhile to play until 2016.

They advertise all the miles of water, yet you really have to screw up to get a ball wet. Dunes would be my fav, followed by the Eisenhower Blue, Bear Dance, Green Valley Ranch is fun, and on my side of town, Buffalo Run is just OK.

We ended up playing Buffalo Run. It was mainly a matter of time. Riverdale Dunes couldn't get us out til 11:40 while Buffalo Run was available at 10:10. Hour and a half makes a difference when you have a three hour drive after the round.

No snow but it was very wet and so cart path only. We played one up from the tips, gold tees that are a little over 7,000 yards, and it felt like it played every bit of that (if not more). The rough is big time thick right now, and the par threes played long at 188, 215,242, and 177. Par fives felt like they played much longer than their listed yardages too.

Course is a little scruffy (but I'm a bit scruffy too, so it doesn't bother me), and the greens, while looking a bit long rolled pretty well. We figured we'll get Riverdale Dunes when we come over with four and don't have the time constraints.

Yeah that one par 3 on the back is a driver from the tips for me....Buffalo Run is nothing special, but it's no walk in the park either.
