If you can't tell I like the Volt coloring haha.

And got the HZRDUS on my Vapor Pro driver! Going to try and take it out today!

But if not I'll be in Dallas for work all next week may try and find somewhere to play there even though I never have...

How'd you like the HZRDUS?

Sounds good, go check out Top Golf! I think there's one there.

There are a few here. Headquarters is here too. Home sweet home.

What are some of the cheaper less difficult courses to play around DFW??? I really don't wanna embarrass myself to bad lol.

And I know I wish they let the OVEN open to like public to visit haha I always wanted to go by there while im here for work but haven't.

Do you head back to Bartlesville Friday evening?

If not and you want to drive over to Ft. Worth for a Saturday 8:00AM tee time, you can play with me. Green fee for walking is around $28 and the course is fun to play. Not difficult (71.7 / 126) at 6600 yards; River course.

Drop me a PM to discuss.

I appreciate that! I'm going to ask my boss tomorrow morning and see what my plan is. Not sure if we will be done Friday or not!

I was actually just looking at that course today online.

I stay close to the speedway in a town called Roanoke so I'll see what my plans are and let you know!

Awesome! Roanoke would be a much better drive than coming from Dallas.

Just got done at the range with the new Vapor Pro/HZRDUS combo. And wow. Hit some BOMBS straight.

Tonight was a warm Texas night but I felt really relaxed tonight. Hit the irons probably the best ever in a practice session.

The driver was spotty. I have developed a terrible slice somehow on some swings. And I think it's my inner baseball player sneaking out and getting me. But when I did hit it straight no problems with getting it over 250. Range wasn't the best marked and I freaking forgot range finder at home. But the shaft I can definetly tell is way better feel then the stock blueboard, and my Rogue.

How did you get the vapor pros without the black on the top of the back of the clubhead?

Those looks to be MM Protos.

I really want to get on a Trackman or something and get some numbers.

But I am going to go out and play Saturday before I leave town thanks to QuickFeet. And think I am going to go back out to the range tonight.

That's awesome. I wish I could get some Texas golf in. haha. I hear you about the trackman though. I'm waiting for my trip to NMSU to hurry up. Come on July!

What can you all tell me about the VR Forged wedges? Found a set that suits me for a steal. I was initially interested in the Engage wedges but a fitter steered me away from them because he thinks I need more bounce. The VR Forged offerings seem to fit the bill.

Wow......though you would get some replies. My thoughts.

From a clean, dry lie (fairway) they are as good as any wedges available today; great head shape and feel.

Are the wedges you're looking at chrome or raw. I don't remember what the availability on the VR Forged was. Any plated wedge, when you start to introduce some dampness into the equation (think early morning when fairways are covered with dew, ball wet and damp club face) will lose some spin. Raw wedges seem to do much better with this "damp" shot. There is something about the raw steel and tour level urethane cover that doesn't allow much slip. So advantage Engage here.

Also, the Engage is when Nike changed their wedges to the "modern muscle" design. Less weight in the heel and more towards the toe moved the CG more towards the center of the face.

Last, I think the VR Forged had a slightly better feel on mishits. To me the Engage has more of a harsh feel on a ball that isn't hit in the "sweet spot." I can't feel the difference between the two on a well hit shot.

If the VR Pro has bounce options that better suit your swing, they are a great choice, especially is the price point is attractive. Bounce can be overrated, it is important when you are into the turf/dirt with wedge play. Me........I tend to sweep/pick my wedges so bounce is not an important consideration.

Agreed 100% on this I went back to my VR Pros for some time

Hey guys, I know it's been tough moving clubs on bst so I started a group on Facebook to move clubs quicker. I'm a member of a similar group and items sell quick. For instance I'm posting my Vapor fly oven driver head. It will be 10 spots at $50 per spot. You can buy as many spots as you want. Bst has been super slow for me and this is a cheap way to have a chance at a nice club too.

Thanks guys, you convinced me. Finally pulled the trigger to replace some desperately old Cleveland wedges.

And we're down to 3 non-Nike clubs.
