Thats some good playing.

I've played enough qualfiers to know how hard it is to post a score my swing doesnt feel right. SOme of my most rewarding rounds have come from squeezing out a decent score when nothing felt right.

Played a Robert Trent Jones Jr course...the same RTJ of Chambers Bay....same issues with design with danger on the side of doglegs encouraging drives away from the line to the hole...
Drove every fairway, chipped in from the fringe to make 2 pars, made 9 other one-putts, and made no 3 putts on greens so tight and true that trickle down-hill putts stayed on line to the hole...and no double-bogeys.
The best round in years...

Where did you play? I was at Concord CC on monday, place was mint and pretty beatable had i known where to hit a few tee balls. Greens tricked me a few times also. Going back for revenge at the Concord Fourball in august.

F'd up a chance at shooting low 90's...

A blister on my heel broke open on hole 15, too painful to even walk. I either quit or play without shoes.


I played without shoes and couldnt hit a single shot flush. Driver was horrible. I should have quit.


48-51 which shouldve been a 45 even if i just bogied the last 3 holes. Instead I went double,triple,double

44/44 = 88. Worst score in a long time . 36 putts ( two 3 putts), 5 bunkers, 3 lies in foot prints, and 4 penalty strokes.
Hit the ball really well except for about 5 swings.

Shot bout 92 today didn't keep track like I should it looked like a old folks home today was a little frustrating. Don't get me wrong i hope to be playing when I'm older but not holding up the course but to each their own but this big Maas of senior women and men paired together had the whole course backed up so made for a long boring round

Shot a 78 on Thursday It was a clean round felt good....

The funny part.....and kind of the most hurtful part, when I uploaded it on the GHIN App on my phone, the app responded with "This score is outside the normal scores, are you sure you would like to proceed?"

Bogeys and pars no blow ups....

But what was weird was,

I had 2 penalties, (1 water, 1 unplayable)

39 Putts.... yes THAT IS RIGHT 39 PUTTS....5, 3 putts...... damn!!!!!!


Then of course...GHIN toys with my emotions again.... Shoot 81 but with the slope rating low it gives me an 83 LOL.....awe man... throw a dog a bone!!!!

Shot a 90 at a par 71 and I'm stoked lol. It's been a while since I played with that much confidence and shot such a bad score.

Finally managed to transition my swing and am hitting most balls the way I feel I ought to. I Still struggle the most with the longer clubs, which is my game basically, but I'm feeling really solid about what I'm trying to do.

Armed with a 3w I got almost all of my tee balls out there, and hit a lot of solid approaches, just everything a bit left or right. Biggest score killer was I hit a lot of higher irons a bit right. First time at one of the two courses I usually play, this is the one with small greens that are hard and fast and I just couldn't keep anything green side from rolling 12 feet past the hole

I also managed to find every bit of trouble out there to find being just a little left or right. All in all it was a candidate for all time worst score when playing well . I haven't felt this in control of my game and the general direction of my swing in a while. I basically had to swallow some pride and "start over", and it just might be paying off.

I decided to go go cross handed today and wow do it work . I made 4 putts from that 12-15 foot range

Out yesterday 38/41= 79. Best in a while, missed two birdie putts inside 12ft, made 2 from inside 6ft. Shot of the day 3hy 210 uphill to 2ft....felt great!

Started birdie-birdie-birdie....something I'm positive I've never done. Then a double bogey-par-eagle. -3 after six...uncharted territory.

Reality then set in, including an eye gouging three balls in the water 10 and I end up with a ho -hum 78*

*a really easy course, wide open and perfectly set up for my crappy tee shots and decent iron game. I rarely break 80 on real courses.

Shot a +14 86 yesterday. Tanglewood Manor from the whites. Kind of on the easier track. 69.3/118. But hit 8/18 greens after hitting 6/15 fairways which I thought was some better iron play of myself.. Only 6 FIR but it felt like the driver was going in 5 he general direction I instructed it to.. 38 putts n 4 3 putts was enough to wana helicopter my putter into the lake... but I digress

I haven't been keeping track of my Score for almost a year now just having Fun with my Boys........went out for another Round with my Boys and decided to keep Score to see if the Old Man had any Game left.......well I'm Very Happy to say I Shot a 78 ~ +6 from the Blues 72.9/132 @ 6769yrds.................headed back out today to see if I can Backup that Score with another Great Round for Myself. I'm going to start keeping Score again to keep track of my Handicap.

Just played 9 in the heat. Started my half marathon training this morning so didn't expect too much. Shot a +6 42 which is fantastic for me. Nothing over 6 had two doubles from shots OB. 5 wood about to go in the backup bag.

Played the best that I have all year. I've had rounds this year where I've hit more fairways, more greens, or had fewer putts. But today I finally had the consistency I look for over 18 holes on my way to a 71 (-1). 9/14 fairways, 12 GIR, 30 putts.

Today went bad fasts. Was playing great 2 under after 8 . Made a bad bogey on 9 with a pitch wedge in my hand . Bogey 10 . Went ob on 11 for double . Bogeyed 4 of the last 7 for a 6 over 76 . 2 under for 8 holes then 8 over for last 10. Lol crazy game

Talking to my friend and told him, my timing was off.....hit the back nine and took a deep breath.... I couldnt miss after that.......Took 10 Skins, 8 holes and 2 par 3's........ I have never shot even par on a nine before so that was huge especially coming off a mental block of shooting a 54 (18 over) on one side. I shot my handicap on the first 4 holes.....


Was a good feeling to buckle down and clean up, now if only I could do it again with a clean front.........
