MD/VA/DC Golfers - Ten Seconds or Less

Last time I played with FAbb he hit 17 fairways. I don't even know if that's physically possible, but I saw it with my own eyes.

Last time I played with FAbb, he kept saying every tee ball was off the heel, but he was hitting all the fairways. City even questioned whether one drive was physically possible, and PQ threatened to punch him.

I'd take Tom Wishon's advice over any golf manufacturer. Back when I got into club building / trying to understand this all better, he answered a ton of my questions. Never was it opinion, all based on decades of testing.

 

The first time I ever played with Fabb: I was so excited about seeing him drive the ball so well and be the most awesomest ever. He sucked. Driver was bad all day. Highly disappointed. He stopped G'ingAF after a couple holes and got super chill. Zero fuks given. Was a good time playing with super lax Fabb tho.

The last time I played with Fabb, he purposely injured his wrists to lower his driving accuracy. He went 18/18. Mission accomplished

Played a cold and somewhat windy round in 3 flat with one Citygame at Waverly this AM. We both played pretty well, but each had a dingus hole or two out there. I had two doubles (one was a second ball par). Had 2 birdies and missed at least 5 birdies in the 10 to 15 foot range. Tees were back on probably half of the holes, and in the blue slot on the other half. Played long. Ball wasn't traveling anywhere and it was damp. Course was in excellent condition minus some top dressing on the greens. City will recap his own round, but he had some GREAT two putts out there. We were green hitting machines out there. I had one dumb 3 putt on 5 after hitting a tee shot to 20 feet. Nice.

 

Fabb, I can't believe you bought a new driver. NUTS!

Was going to try to play until dark again tonight but definitely got cold out there with the wind. Still managed almost 18 holes but wasnt going to push it. Cant believe its going to be February next week and we can still get out and play.

 

Hit some really good drives with the Epic, hit a couple drives to where I'd hit them during the season - only with a few layers on in the cold and wind. Looks like this week is going to be a wash weather wise.

Played 18 out at Northwest Park. It was great to be out there in January, and the weather was pretty pleasant. The wind only kicked up a few times. There was a threesome on #1, so I went off the back. Still ended up waiting on a twosome most of the back side.

 

The first 4 holes were a horror show (3 doubles and a triple), but after that I got more of a rhythm going. A acceptable mix of pars, bogies and doubles from there on out. Got around in about 3:15.

 

Didn't lose a ball all round (K-sig FTW), and I hit my TM M2 3HL really well. Went as far as my G30 driver. Maybe it's time to upgrade the big stick? I think I'll demo an Epic when Tex has a demo day around here.

Built a Frankenstein driver today for a demo.

 

9 SZ head 2-12 weights and th SZ 3 wood shaft 75 s.

 

Dude was murdering with almost perfect stats per trackman--- led to nothing but st least I know I can put together a short driver whoever wants one.

 

 

 

He didn't like the feel of the GBB with 2 sliding weights ;)

Assume Rockville GG is doing the trade in bonus? Got a few things that will get me some decent value so I was thinking I'd take advantage and get a regular epic to compare to my SZ.

I went to the Columbia GG. They didn't have any trade-in bonus deals going. I just didn't feel like dealing with the scourge in the BST to get marginally more for the LTD. Plus, it was nice to just slice that off the price of the club. If I'd have gotten that money in PayPal, I'd surely have wasted it on some other thing.

I like the way you think!. I am looking at doing the same thing. I've got credit at Global Golf, Callaway, and a paypal balance, plus a bunch of things to trade. I just need to find the best combo.

A player of your magnitude should see some gains in distance but the forgiveness for those ones you do miss should be night and day...However, it won't work unless you are playing chromesoftx too--- thats the kicker ;)

Chrome soft X too soft off the putter. It was pretty decent on full shots. I like my balls nice and firm though. Not into squishy balls.
