Your el Tigre prop bets for the Safeway...

http://www.golfdiges...to-the-pga-tour

You know, I'm sure there's more sites, but that's exactly what I was talking about with DC the other day.

If Tiger is -175 to make the cut, then they should be giving me something like +155 on "No".

Where's that option? Oh nowhere?

That bet is not a legitimate sports bet. It's just a sucker bet for Tiger fan boys.

100-1 on "hole in one"? Please.

I looked at all the props on Bovada last night, there are no "No" bets posted yet. Sportsbook.com doesnt have any Tiger bets yet either. Which is smart. They'll want to see how news is the next 6 weeks and how he looks at that charity event he's supposed to be plaing in. If they post "No" sides right now that are too high they might get hammered - and then be in huge trouble if he looks bad leading up to Safeway.

But I noticed on Bovada he's also 50-1 to win the Masters. Which is a joke. 50-1. Russell Knox was 66-1, Jimmy Walker 75-1, I mean its a joke - but - they know people will throw cash on Tiger so thats why they make the odds like this. Very smart bookmaking.

But exactly, if he's -175 to make the cut, he'll be +145 or so not to, they wont want to make "No" too high so it might be even lower.

If Tiger is +400 to be in the Top 10 he'll be -350 not to make it? Thats almost a given.

Again, it completely depends on the final field, which is why they probably haven't posted the other side just yet.

Tiger doesnt move the needle for me.

Talking about betting on or against Tiger moves the needle all over the place...

The voice over is OK. he doesn't really have much time on each hole. He refers to the pubic wig as a "grass bunker", so WTFever.

Does everyone in this thread not actually have to work Friday afternoons?

Took the day off so I could get raked over the coals with car repair costs.

Then again, I played 9 holes and hit a fade with my driver for the first time in the last 3 months. Somehow that made it feel ok.

I actually worked, but came home to an ebay purchase from last week. New Cobra F6 3-4 Wood. Won't have an opportunity to hit it for a bit with leaving tomorrow afternoon for Atlanta.

Played the Friday night league night again, damn it seemed 20* hotter than it was last week. Fun night though. Six hole scramble, every hole was a different format. Played well, our group won again and picked up a little more shop credit. In what might be the best shop purchase of the year, picked up a couple boxes of Chefs Cut jerky that were 30% off. Delicious.

Hoping to get out this weekend too but next week is looking A+ for golf weather.

Her Golfer, UPS is based out of Atlanta isn't it?

Probably, but then again there's UPS drivers in Memphis. Go figure... I bet there's also FedEx Ground/Home Delivery guys in Atlanta, but those guys are based from either Pittsburgh if they work in the docks or the Atlanta area as Contractors for drivers.

Now, before this whole shebang and UPS/FedEx Short/Tall crap goes crazy again. I will say the following:

While UPS, FedEx, DHL, and the Post Office are corporate 'competitors' in the door to door parcel and document delivery service. The reality within driver to driver, person to person is that it is more of a brotherhood.

I say that because every courier knows what the other goes through on a day-to-day basis. We may crack jokes at one another about our work schedules, or the trucks or what have you. However, at the end of the day the end goal for every driver is to get home safely that night. This may be from just keeping an eye out for potentially dangerous road conditions such as Ice to getting a note to a fellow driver about a person who seems off on some random street.

Also, the way to becoming a driver for UPS and FedEx (and its subsidiaries Ground and Home Delivery) are vastly different. UPS drivers begin at the dead bottom. They end up loading the largest truck every night and being nothing but Dock crew for YEARS before even sniffing a Driver's position.

The exception would be if you, somehow, got to drive for UPS during the holiday season. Thus you could bypass the dock necessity. Plus, they are dealing with not just UPS but also the Teamsters. They are so under the time clock that if you are 1 second late, they want to know why. They earn EVERY red cent they make. Typical time from Hired to Driver: 4-5 years, if lucky.

For FedEx, and the subsidiaries, the requirements change. You also start on the night sort, but it's not all night. Then, once you complete the computer training, you are placed into a defensive driving course and a week long courier 'school' to learn the various codes and procedures. Typical time from Hired to Driver: 6-8 weeks for FedEx Express, 1-2 weeks FedEx Ground/Home Delivery.

Thus, in conclusion, while I enjoy the banter and MTN/Pquarta poking the proverbial bear do not estimate my responses as aggression.

Besides, wouldn't want MTN to not play his match against me like in the match play we were scheduled in this year.

827 - the differences between FedEx and UPS employment I'm sure are largely a legacy effect of FedEx being one of the most anti-union companies in America and the fact that they were, until a few years ago, governed by the Railway Labor Act, as opposed to the far more stringent National Labor Relations Act which covered UPS.

Just shot a 74. +4 on the front, even on the back. Best score ever kinda (previous was 75 on a par 72) and best 9 hole score ever.

Struggled a bit on the front but everything clicked on the back. 100 yard shots weren't an issue whatsoever.

You have been throwing up great scores man, congrats.

So what's different?

You figure some things out in your swing.

Your new course easier or it just fit your eye?

I shot an 80 at my old course too. The course is about the same slope as the other course I was playing all the time. I'm just striking the ball really well. The swing thought of keeping my right heel down until impact has made a huge difference. My swing is also shorter (what feels like 3/4 but probably just short of parallel). I also feel like I have a slight pause at transition - especially on my wedge shots. It's made a huge difference in my consistency and stopping big misses. I also stopped trying to fight my natural ball flight (a draw) and just embrace it. I trust that my draw is going to happen and when I want to make it cut, I typically can now. I also moved the ball more towards the center of my setup when putting. It was too far forward and I was pulling my putts. I've started lining my ball up again now that putts are actually starting on line and I'm actually draining some of my first putts now.

Lol @ feet scores

True but 80 is still a great score.

Since you joined it seems you have gotten comfortable with all aspects of your game.

Just didn't know if it was swing related or only playing one course or a combo deal.

Either way man, keep it up!
