Hit the range this weekend, first time swinging a club since December. Results were awful; usually I bounce back from the winter pretty quickly. But this was scary bad; I felt lost. Going to be a long time coming back.

 

Hit the range again this weekend. Still rusty, but so much better than last time. Lesson learned, don't make your first range session of the year when you're already semi-ill and holding in the $hits. :lol:

Played Heron Bay in Coral Springs FL today.

Site of 1997-2002 Honda Classic. Definitely a shell of its old glory days, but nice to get out of the cold for a change.

Bah. April showers, not March showers. I was hoping that we'd get an early start to the season, but the monthly long term forecast looks bleak, with colder temperatures, and plenty of rain. Hopefully we'll get a few reasonable days.

Yeah, but rainy and windy. Oh well, that's why I have rain gear. I played 2 rounds last March, and zero rounds in March 2014, so a slow start to the season is not unexpected.

Oh, I have had the itch, like you wouldn't believe, but in the past, I have always waited until the grass has started growing, and I know they can cut the greens. Shaggy greens, and sloppy conditions aren't how I want to start the year. Now that said, I will probably get out sooner this year, but time will tell.

That's generally the way I am, I really don't like shaggy plinko greens and the slop that comes with spring. But after a point in time the range and the domes just don't cut it anymore and there's no substitute for getting on the course and hitting shots with a purpose.
