Has anyone done a shoot out between the M1 and M2 yet....member wise. I know that the Gear group just posted about drivers and said that that the M2 was like the M1, but with more spin.

 

Personally, I think the timing was bad for the M2 for that review because that was such a blanket statement about the M2. I would have liked to have seen the testers that were under 100 mph post some numbers to confirm that "one sentence" comment. Also, no comment about the foregivenss between the two, only spin like foregivenss would not have made a difference.

70TX silver 125 MSI tipped .5 playing at 44.5

vs

70X black 95 MSI tipped 1.5 playing at 44.5

 

No LM--own experiences based on range and 5-6 rounds with each.

 

Silver is tighter disp and just as smooth if not smoother (most surprising). I would say same launch and peak height. I don't notice a difference in distance.

 

110-115 SS...medium tempo. I don't feel over powered by rogue silver, the black isn't spinny at all.

 

No surprises here...Just my 2 cents.

we have very similar swings. now I need to add that into my shafts to purchase. Damn.

Diamana 60 S+ didn't like that either.

Aldia Rogue Silver 60 Stiff. Feels too stiff for me. I'm just not getting the distance I usually do. Think it's because it has a stiff tip.

 

I'm just looking for a normal stiff shaft with a normal tip. Over the yrs I've just been using the normal stiff stock shafts taylormade have put in their drivers

 

Could anyone please suggest a shaft I should try?

Diamana 60 S+ didn't like that either.

Aldia Rogue Silver 60 Stiff. Feels too stiff for me. I'm just not getting the distance I usually do. Think it's because it has a stiff tip.

 

I'm just looking for a normal stiff shaft with a normal tip. Over the yrs I've just been using the normal stiff stock shafts taylormade have put in their drivers

 

Could anyone please suggest a shaft I should try?

 

The rogue 110 was a nice shaft I thought in it

Stock aren't they 45.5 or 45.25, that's like d5-d6 with most shafts, little heavy at that length IMOP

Well, it also depends on the head weight as well. However, the stock M1 should play at 45.5 and have a swingweight of D4, but there could be variances due to manufacturing tolerances.

had M1 for 6 or 7 rds and now have M2....but only 1 round on it......both same shaft and swingweight.....need couple more rounds with it

 

I have RBZ weight kit and brought M2 up to what my M1 was playing which was D3.5

 

M1 was D4.7 stock but I cut my shaft.....Idk what M2 was stk I just switched heads and my M2 came out at D1.3 so for sure head is lighter on M2.....

Got 45.25" and came out to D3.5. Played first time today and hit 9 of 14 fairways which is great for me. I missed the first 4, hit the next 9 and then tried to kill the last one since it was a Par 5, and missed it badly. lol

I'm similar I use an old Fuji motore speeder 6.1, great combo with the M1 head

I actually need to find something like the Aldina rip phenom 60. That's what was in my R11s. Stiff shaft with a firm tip.

just ordered a m1 tour head hot melted and also a tour ad bb shaft to go in it see if it beats the GBB out the bag

 

also a m1 3 wood with a tour ad on the way lets see what there like compared to the GBB set i have

Maybe this has been covered already on the last 90 pages, but do others have issues with the feel and sound? Mine felt perfect when i got it, but the last few rounds it feels and sounds less solid. Flight is still the same. All the weights are tight, etc.

Apart from this a great driver.

Have you adjusted the slider(s) since you first got it?

Yes. I moved it all the way fwd and the other one to the draw position. I played around today and moved them back a bit. Still no major improvement

Also since I play my drivers short, I added a heavy weight to the rear track. Worked much better than a heavy weight in the front track for me.

Bit the hook and bought another M1. 10.5* this time. 1 click lower, 1 click to fade & 1 click down from high.

 

Put my Accra Axiv xt60 in it.

 

Played 27 holes on Saturday & 18 on Sunday. Missed 5 fairways total, 3 of which were less than a foot or two in the rough. The other 2 were crappy swings when I was tired.

 

Compared to my 815, which I loved, there was no comparison. It was probably more the confidence in looking down at the head & getting the settings right but I was pounding it way past the cally.

 

I am used to hitting 5 or 6 iron to the 18th at my club, Saturday I hit 8 iron.

 

My bag is set......for now..

I am loving my 10.5*, set one click higher loft, with the weight all the way back and deep and neutral side to side weight, with Ad Di6X. Most solid feeling TM driver in a while.

Hit some with the weight back. What a difference. Shame that you cannot really use the front settings due to horrible feel.

Have a go with a Matrix black tie. By far the best fit for me with the M1.

Might have missed it, but has anyone swapped the front weight and the back weight? If so, with playing the heavier weight in the back track and moving it all the way back, have you noticed any difference?

Yep. It's quite a bit more forgiving but then again it added spin, for me.

The sound/feel suffered as well (to my ears at least). I ended up putting the weights to factory settings.
