Try this joint- find your most favoritist pair of pents. Take the measurements. Pick the fabrics you want, and the features. Button fly sure? Suspender buttons, sure. 2" cuffs, sure. No cuffs, no problem.

If even your most favoritist pents aren't ideal- Send them your most favoritist pents and have them take the measurements while you tell them what you want changed. Slightly narrower leg? Giddy-up. Wider leg, just as good. Want a high rise? knock yourself out.

Spring fabrics- check. Summer fabrics- check. Fall fabrics- check. Winter fabrics- check.

Knock yourself out. Have old school pents made until your cold, modern pents hating heart is warmed.

Here is a thread from another forum with all sorts of reviews and pictures and everything you could imagine.

if you don't care for those options- try some e-thrifting. Older offerings from some of the higher end makers tend to have a wider leg and higher rise and can be had for a bargain.

You old men know you can buy any pants you like...right? With any rise and fit that you like...right?

You can also wear them up to your belly button and even buy them in horrible heavy non-moisture wicking materials like wool and leisure suit polyester like in the pictures that were posted. It's called a tailor - they will even make the thighs as wide as you like WITH pleats too to complete the ridiculous look.

Bro, In 2012, I wore cuffed RL blends(worsted wool/poly & worsted wool/silk(20%)) and they are exactly as you pictured, and Believe me, if I didn't look OK, Madison would definitely say something, lol

Hell, I had this cool lookin white RL belt and she found it, looked at me with dismay and chirped, "you were not thinking about wearing this were you?"

Well, I could tell by the question, tone and body language that the appropriate answer was "no, absolutely not," and I said it was a gift, lol

Anyhoo, for some of my regular swats I wore khakis and if I do say so myself, I looked great :)

A nice shirt and nice shoes(AE's, not these tennis shoe lookin things ;) ) make a pair of khakis look good-

Bro, we ain't 25yo with 32" waists(Madison told me about the 34/34 rule on white belts, lmao), but I guarantee ya I never walked on a tee where I wasn't dressed to Play and lookin good and I doubt that you have, lol.

Have a Blessed Holiday Season Bro :)

We get a pass!!!

We've put how many decades into this friggin game??

Besides, you know if you and I walk onto a tee, we're not gonna give anything away to anyone, lol.

In facts, those are cuffed RL khakis in my avatar pic-

Thanks Soms, that didn't even dawn on me, lol

Later Ed: 11/30/15, 6:04pm-> LMAO, I only read the first paragraph of your text initially and neglected to read the second where ya insulted the s*** out of us, LMAO. That's ok, my pants are tailored and I make cuffs and pleats look great, lmao. Stay Well My Friend :) Richard

Ok, ok, I'll STFU and go to another section of the board, lol

I like pleats. I think they look good. And they'll be back, eventually!

But I don't think they look any more ridiculous than the Fowler (and for the record, I like him a lot, seems like a great kid) flat brim that covers his ears.

Every generation has something that the others think looks silly.

I find the Nike Dri Fit pants aren't too bad. I do go up a waist size and they are more comfortable and not tight tight.

Adidas are ok but again can be tightish but go up a waist size and seem to be ok
[/quote]This is exactly right, go up one waist size and you're good.

You Gents strut "performance" wear?

I'll go with "action" pants :)

And they take care of the "zone" and my need for an XL snack sack :)

All the Best,
Richard

RP you got me again with another acronym. What are AE golf shoes? Just stole a pair of Footjoy Icon wingtips off of ebay. Thank you overproduction and product cycle change!

Also, I wear all kinds of styles of pants and comfort seems to have more to do with my waist size than the pants. An extra inch around the waist and I have to shift into fat pants.

Richard,

I have always appreciated your outlook and posts on GolfWRX. I am coming up on some decisions to make in my career as a golf professional and was wondering if I could call you and ask you a few questions. Thank you for always adding to our golf discussions!

Sincerely,

Dan Drake

Was thinking after I posted, and I do own quite a few actual "golf" shirts although I do still play in short sleeve button downs and plain cotton polos sometimes, but I don't actually own a pair of "golf" pants. I use any casual pants or retired dress pants to play golf. I've never felt like they restricted any motion needed for golf either.

Perhaps I just don't have enough "action" in my swing though. What is the "action zone" for exactly? Helps you tuck it in the waistband if you get prematurely excited?
